Mary Inez “Ina” Stone

OCALA, Fla. — Mary Inez “Ina” Stone, 85, of Ocala, Fla. and formerly of Moultrie, died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007 at the home of her daughter in Ocala.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Aaron Smith, the Rev. Charlie Simpson and the Rev. Mark Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Mark Stone, Regi Stone, Billy Jack Walters, Craig Britnell, Ricky Griner and Ferrell Ruis.

Born Oct. 12, 1921 in Mitchell County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Elias Simpson and Fannie Estelle Stanford Griner Simpson. She was a homemaker and attended Riverside Holiness Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie James Stone; a daughter, Sylvia K. Stone; and a grandson, Jonathan Smith.

Survivors include one son, Ronnie Timothy Stone and wife Eveline of Valdosta; three daughters, Delores S. Stone and husband Herbert of Good Hope, Ga., Linda S. Hannah and husband Wayne of Sugar Hill, Ga. and Judy S. Smith and husband Marshall of Ocala, Fla.; three brothers, the Rev. Charlie Simpson of Fitzgerald, Ga., Harold Griner of Tifton and Cecil Griner of Nashville, Ga.; two sisters, Irene Selph and Melba Harnage, both of Nashville, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Regi Stone, Ron Stone, Mark Stone, Jan Stone, Wanda Byrd, Sonja Britnell and Aaron Smith; and nine great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today, Sept. 11 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
