MOULTRIE — A Moultrie man was apprehended after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend and her 11-year-old son Sunday afternoon.

Samuel Lores Lambert, 37, of 1208 Ninth St. S.W., was charged with two counts of simple battery (family violence) and cruelty to children (second degree) (family violence).

Idalma Quinta, of 31st Avenue Southeast, reported Lambert came to her apartment at 12:28 p.m. Sunday. He saw another man there giving Quinta money, and he allegedly got very mad, police reports stated.

Quinta and Lambert got into an argument, and he allegedly grabbed her by the throat. Police reports said he then shoved her head into the wall near the bathroom and held her there.

Quinta’s 11-year-old son tried to help her by attempting to push Lambert off of her. Lambert then allegedly punched the boy in the face, causing him to fall to the floor, leaving a red mark on his head and swelling to the side of his head.

Officers arrived at the scene and spoke with Quinta, with one officer providing translation. They went to Lambert’s house on Ninth Street Southwest and placed him under arrest and took him to Colquitt County Jail.
