FROSTPROOF, Fla. — Cecil M. Isom, 92, of Frostproof, Fla., died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007, at the Groves Center in Lake Wales.

Funeral services were held 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at the Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Frostproof, Fla., with the Rev. Darrol Hood officiating. Burial followed at the Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof, Fla.

Born March 16, 1915, in Moultrie, he came to Frostproof from Quitman, Ga., in 1951. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his son, Cecil M. Isom Jr. in 1969.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Myrtice Isom of Frostproof, Fla.; daughters, Faye Ramon and husband Ric of Mulberry, Fla., Carolyn Blocker and husband Wayne of Frostproof, Fla., and JoAnn Marshall and husband Gordon of Avon Park, Fla.; a son, Clyde D. “Danny” Isom and wife Beverly of Lake Wales, Fla.; brother, Earl Isom of Palm Bay, Fla.; sister, Rosetta Milton of Kissimmee, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
