Pauline Twiggs Tillman
MOULTRIE — Pauline Twiggs Tillman, 91, of Cool Springs Road in Moultrie, died Friday, July 27, 2007, at Magnolia Manor South.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Sardis Cemetery. Richard Edwards and Richard Marchant will officiate. Casketbearers will be David Marchant, Jacob Marchant, Christopher Runyan, Heath Sims, Jim Sims and Benny Mack Twiggs.
Mrs. Tillman was born Sept. 9, 1915, in Dawsonville, Ga., daughter of the late William Twiggs and Adline Garrett Twiggs. She was retired from Wells Aluminum and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. Tillman; a son, Grady Lee Tillman; and a granddaughter, Virginia Lee Tillman.
Survivors include her daughter, Nadine Marchant and husband Davy Lee of Moultrie; one brother, Bennie Twiggs and wife Sybil of Alabama; one sister, Ellen Giddens of Quitman; five grandchildren, Paula Runyan, Richard Merchant and wife Phyllis of Brooks, Ga., Danny Marchant of Griffin, Ga., Regina Lynn Marchant of Jonesboro, Ga., and Francis Sims and husband Bubba of Moultrie.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today, July 28, at the funeral home.

Tammy Beth Asbell Pisciotta
OMEGA — Tammy Beth Asbell Pisciotta, 41, of Omega, died Friday, July 27, 2007, at her residence after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29, in the Omega Baptist Church. Pastor Steven Moon will officiate and Pastor Carl Felts will give a eulogy. Burial will follow in Omega Cemetery. Charles Taylor, Joe Owen, Shane Giddens, Phil Beach, Mike Beeman and Jimmy Johnson will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be all UPS drivers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 28, in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Pisciotta was born Sept. 10, 1965, in Moultrie and was the daughter of Betty R. Sledge of Moultrie and Bobby Asbell of Norman Park. She graduated from Colquitt County High School and received her cosmetology license from Moultrie Technical College. She worked with the Tift County Board of Education at Tift County High School and was a member of Omega Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her MeMa, Idelle Rhodes; and one aunt, Mary Rhodes.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pisciotta is survived by her loving husband, Joey Lynn Pisciotta of Omega; one daughter, Brittany Ann Henry of Tifton; two sons, Timothy Lee Henry of Valdosta and John Stephen Powell II of Thomasville; one stepdaughter, Jessica Lynn Pisciotta; and one stepson, Andrew Alan Pisciotta of Tifton; one brother, Wendy Clayton Asbell of Moultrie; and three sisters and a brother-in-law, Deborah and Ricky Blackburn of Albany, Ruby Taylor of Orange Park, Fla., and Dawala Davis of Alabama.

Edna Jean Harrod Sutherland
MOULTRIE — Edna Jean Harrod Sutherland, 77, of Moultrie died Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Magnolia Manor South.
There will be a private service at a later date and burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Born Jan. 18, 1930, in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Henry Harrod and Edna Young Harrod. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Sutherland.
Survivors include a son, Sid “Alex” Sutherland and wife Debbie of Moultrie; daughters, Susan Lamb and husband Harvey of Tifton, Ga., and Jane Dunbar and husband Walt of Tennessee; a brother, Jack Harrod and wife Mary Jane of Florida; five grandchildren, Stephanie Berg, Stacey Sutherland, Dennis Lamb, Wayne Lamb and Jennifer Smith; and one great-grandchild, Tessa Berg.
Memorials may be made to Colquitt County Hospice.

Kendall Hood Middlemas
PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Kendall Hood Middlemas, 69, of Panama City, Fla., formerly of Moultrie, died Thursday, July 26, 2007, at her residence.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at Grace Presbyterian Church in Panama City, Fla., with the Revs. Joe Eckstine and Joe Vaughn officiating.
Born Aug. 21, 1937, in Atlanta, Kendall was the daughter of the late Florence Horkan Hood and the late Sam Hood. She graduated from Moultrie High School, attended Agnes Scott College, and received a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of West Florida.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, John Robert Middlemas; five children, Rob Middlemas, Mary Middlemas and husband Jeff Portnoy, Davis Middlemas and wife Meg, and Kendall Middlemas Henley and husband Steve; three grandchildren, Davis Lawson Middlemas Jr., Marguerite Kendall Middlemas and Kendall Adele “Addie” Henley; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Catherine G. Green
MOULTRIE — Catherine G. Green, 89, of Moultrie died Friday, July 27, 2007, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at New Elm Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Thomas and the Rev. Alan Tillman officiating. Burial will follow in Kimball United Methodist Church Cemetery at Anderson City in Worth County.
Born April 2, 1918, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Green was the daughter of the late James Thomas Greene and the late Essie Ora Turner Greene. She graduated from Moultrie High School and Perry Business School and was a retired homemaker.
She was a longtime member of New Elm Baptist Church and for many years was an active member of the church choir. In recent years, she had enjoyed life at Maple Court Senior Residence in Tifton.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, James Wilmer Green; two brothers, Chester and Roscoe Greene; a sister Jewell Posey; and, as a youth, sister Gussie Greene.
Survivors include her son, Luther Lynwood Green of Columbia, S.C.; a sister, Reba Greene of Moultrie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
