MOULTRIE — The two Colquitt County 14-and-under all-star teams took one-sided victories on Monday in their opening games of the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association’s north sub-District III tournament being held at the Magnolia Sports Complex.
The Colquitt County B-team opened the tournament by shaking off a 2-0 first-inning deficit to defeat Tift County 13-3 in five innings.
Colquitt County A used a 10-run third inning to rout Americus-Sumter County 11-1, also in five innings.
The two games were played at Hubbell Field.
Both teams will be back in action at 5:30 p.m. today.
