Jack “Tim” Henderson
MOULTRIE — Jack “Tim” Henderson, 84, died Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Sunrise Health Care Center in Moultrie.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., today, June 8 in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson with the Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Cemetery in Eldorado, Ga. with Joshua Sanders, Earnie Blackburn, James Blackburn, T.J. Henderson, Chris Henderson and Sid Dupree serving as pallbearers.
Born June 22, 1922 in Colquitt County, he was the son of the late Elmer Henderson and Della Murphy Henderson. He was a retired research technician of Coastal Plains Experiment Station and of the Baptist faith.
He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lottie Billings Henderson; a son, John Timothy Henderson; three brothers, Claude Henderson, Floyd Henderson and Pete Henderson; and two sisters, Birde Holden and Sue Bemus.
Survivors include his wife, Bessie Taylor McCook Henderson of Moultrie; a son, James Henderson and wife, Wilda of Tifton, Ga.; a daughter, Mary Ann Henderson of Moultrie; three step-sons, Ralph McCook of Augusta, Ga., Curtis McCook of Waynesboro, Ga. and Wendell McCook and wife Laura of Augusta, Ga.; two step-daughters, Caroline Tawzer of Augusta, Ga. and Annette Hogan and husband Richard of Golden, Miss.; a brother, Ottis Henderson of Norman Park; a sister, Ethel Blackburn of Moultrie; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Robin Baker Doster
COBBTOWN, Ga. — Robin Baker Doster, 76, of Cobbtown, Ga. died Monday, June 4, 2007 at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., today, June 8 at Christ Episcopal Church in Dublin, Ga. The Rev. Henry I. Louttit, Bishop of Georgia, will officiate and the Rev. Joy Fisher of Trinity Episcopal Church in Cochran, Ga. will deliver the sermon.
She was born March 11, 1931 in Macon, Ga. and had lived in Cobbtown, Ga. for the past two years. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. L. Baker Sr. She graduated from Tifton High School and in 1964 she graduated from Norman-Vereen School of Nursing in Moultrie. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Moultrie, St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Tifton, Ga., Prince George Winyah Episcopal Church in Georgetown, S.C., Christ Episcopal Church in Dublin, Ga. and Good Shepard Episcopal Church in Swainsboro, Ga. She was a registered nurse for 43 years, working at Vereen Memorial Hospital in Moultrie, Tift General Hospital in Tifton, Ga. and the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center Nursing Home Care Unit in Dublin, Ga. It seemed that she loved nursing, especially nursing older people such as she nursed at the VA Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, the Rev. Daniel H. Doster of Cobbtown, Ga.; daughters, Christopher Robin Doster Eagy of Dexter, Ga. and Sally Sheppard Doster Powell of Cobbtown, Ga.; sister, Billie Baker Brown of Albany, Ga.; four grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will greet friends from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the Church.

Eloise Crosby Hembree
NEWNAN, Ga. — Eloise Crosby Hembree, 87, of Newnan, Ga. died Thursday, June 7, 2007 at her residence.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, June 10 at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Joel Richardson officiating. The family will receive visitors after the service in the fellowship hall. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, June 12 in the Doerun cemetery, where she will be buried next to her husband.
She was born Nov. 27, 1919 in Doerun to the late Hiram T. and Lois Bryan Crosby and was the first of three daughters and the second of their seven children. Most of her adult life was spent in Brandon, Fla., where she and her husband, E.B., raised their family. In the early eighties, she retired from Frayne Sportswear Co., where she was an apparel inspector. In 1983, she and her husband retired to a farm outside Berlin, Ga., where they had a garden. After her husband’s death in 1999, she moved to Newnan to be near her son and his family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, E.B. Hembree.
Survivors include her two sons, Charles Randall Hembree and his wife Louise of Spruce Pine, N.C. and Richard Michael Hembree and his wife, Pam of Newnan, Ga.; five grandchildren, Justin Buchanan Hembree and wife Lori of Hendersonville, N.C., Katie Hembree Berumen and husband Brent of Bozeman, Mont., Dr. Walter Chad Hembree of Durham, N.C., Dr. Karen Hembree Spry and husband Tanner of Savannah, Ga. and Kevin Michael Hembree of Newnan, Ga.; brothers, Isaac Crosby of Waycross, Ga. and H.T. Crosby Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a sister, Doris Breland of Jacksonville, Fla.

ADEL, Ga. — Rocky Neal Thompson Sr., 55, of Adel, Ga. died Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at his residence.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, June 9 at Adel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Larry Land and O.L. Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Annex.

James E. Johnson
MOULTRIE — James E. Johnson, 49, of Moultrie died Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be 12 p.m., Saturday, June 9 at Reedy Creek Cemetery in Brooks County with the Rev. Cory King officiating. The pallbearers will be Christopher Williams, Calvin Simpson Jr., Carlton Smith, C.L. Smith Jr., Seventer Johnson Sr. and Seventer Johnson Jr.
Born Nov. 3, 1957 in Adel, Ga., he was the son of John Hoarce and Mary Love Johnson of Moultrie. He was a construction worker.
He was preceded in death by a son, James E. Johnson Jr.; three brothers, Vance Johnson, Cecil Johnson and Levester Johnson; and a sister, Dollie Marie Johnson.
Survivors also include two daughters, Jennifer Johnson and Jessica Allen both of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers, John H. Johnson Jr. of Miami, Fla., and Seventer Johnson and LeVince Johnson both of Moultrie; sisters, Jennifer Richardson, Veronica Simpson, Tracey Johnson and Sevonnie Moore of Moultrie and Brenda Sims of Douglas, Ga.; and five grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and family at the home of Veronica Simpson, 205 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Moultrie.
Visitation will be today, June 8 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
