Market Barbecue wins

MOULTRIE — Clayton Brown and Andrew Eunice pitched Market Barbecue to a 10-5 victory over Southwest Georgia Bank in a Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Department Midget League game on Monday at the Magnolia Sports Complex.
Eunice and McCants Plymel each had two hits for Market Barbecue, which raised its record to 7-2.
Andrew Carlton had three hits and Andy Bush had two for Southwest Georgia Bank, now 5-4.
In Monday’s other Midget League game, Ameris rolled past Edwards Motors 18-4.
Jared May was the winning pitcher and had three hits. Devin Smith and Matt Gerald also had three hits and Stephen Bullard and Caleb Brown each added two for Ameris, now 5-4.
Drew Wisenbaker had two hits for Edwards Motors, 0-9.
In Monday’s Pony League action, Cole Pitts and Matt Lindsey did the pitching and Vann Pitts and Mark Lindsey each had two hits as Quality Employment remained unbeaten with an 8-4 victory over Ameris.
One of Mark Lindsey’s hits was a home run as Quality Employment raised its recordto 7-0. Tyler Brown and Garrett Brewer each had two hits for Ameris, now 3-3.
In Monday’s other Pony League game, Clements Pools battered VFW 15-4.
Shelton Lott went the distance on the mound to get the win.
Blake Stamps had three hits and Lott, Stephen Moore and Ben James each had two hits for Clements Pools, now 3-4. VFW falls to 2-5.
In Farm League action, Ameris climbed to .500 with an 11-4 victory over Southwest Georgia Bank.
Garrett May had three hits and Kenneth Crosby, Ryan Pipkin and Hudson May each had two for Ameris, now 4-4.
Landon Scott had three hits and Nicholas Amadore added two for Southwest Georgia Bank, 0-8.
Custom Cabinets remains unbeaten in Farm League play after blanking McAlpin Signs 8-0 on Monday.
George Zeanah had three hits and Adam Merritt, Jared Soyke, Joseph Gould and John Buck Eunice each had two for Custom Cabinets, now 8-0.
Robert Taylor and Chase Godwin each had two hits for McAlpin Signs, 2-6.
In Monday’s Tiny Mites results, Mprints defeated Mobley Plant 6-3 and Holman Supply won over Mattco 12-5.
