Wardine Meders McMillan
TIFTON — Wardine Meders McMillan, 72, of Tifton, died Friday, March 9, 2007, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, at Oakridge Cemetery with the Rev. Pete Jones officiating. Dennis McMillan, Tim McMillan, Jeff McMillan, David Weeks, Tony Crawley and Tony Bishop will serve as pallbearers. Rufus Everett and Junior Puett will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. McMillan was born Oct. 20, 1934, in Omega, to the late Henry Clemons Meders and Addie Lee Fletcher McMillan. She was a homemaker and a member of Enigma Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, quilting, and cooking and she loved her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otsel McMillan.
She is survived by one son, Doug McMillan of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; one daughter and one son-in-law, Sue Denham and Darrell Denham of Tifton; one daughter-in-law, Bootsie McMillan of Evans, Ga.; three brothers, Henry Clifton Meders of Omega, James Meders of Wilmington, N.C. and Walter Meders of Grand Junction, Colo.; five sisters, Barbara Ann Smith of Tifton, Lavern Brooks of Omega, Helen Meders of Jacksonville, Fla., Carol Meders of Omega, and Marilyn Meders of Florence. S.C.; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Emory and Grace McMillan of Lakeland, Fla., and L.A. and Mildred Braswell of Tifton; grandchildren, Sean Denham and his wife Heather of Tifton, Scott Denham of Atlanta, Sarah McMillan of Atlanta, Bonnie Foster and her husband Steven of Evans, Ga., and D. J. McMillan of Evans, Ga.; her great-grandchildren, Stephen Denham of Tifton and Gabriel Foster of Evans, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted and donations may be made to Hospice of Tift Area, P.O. Box 747, Tifton, Ga. 31793.
The family will receive friends today, March 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors.
