James Bradley “Brad” Stroble

MOULTRIE- James Bradley “Brad” Stroble, 38, of Moultrie, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ron Shiver officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at Forest Meadows Cemetery in Gainesville, Fla.

Born Sept. 9, 1968, in Telfair County, Mr. Stroble was the son of Connie Smith Stroble and the late James Frederick Stroble. He was a superintendent with J.C.I. Construction and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his mother, Connie Smith Stroble of Gainesville, Fla.; a son, James Wesley Stroble, Moultrie; two daughters, Kerstin Brianna Stroble of Cairo and Ashlyn Summer Stroble of Crawfordville, Fla.; a special friend, Dympna Norman of Doerun; a sister, Sherry Stroble Thomas and husband Tim of Gainesville, Fla.; and two nephews, Jardian Thomas and Chance Thomas, both of Gainesville, Fla.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the James W. Stroble Fund in care of Ameris Bank in Moultrie.

Faye Baker White

NORMAN PARK — Faye Baker White, 57, of Norman Park died Sunday. Feb. 11, 2007, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Cool Springs Cemetery in Norman Park. Brian Beck, Donald Weeks, Brad Beck, Duncan Swords, Darren Tyler and Mark Brombley will serve as casketbearers.

Born Oct. 14, 1949 in Duval County, Fla., Mrs. White was the daughter of the late William Franklin Moyer Jr. and Martha Elizabeth Dunn Moyer. She was employed with Sanderson Farms and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Edward “Eddie” Baker and William Gardener White Jr.; and a grandchild, Mathew Joseph Baker.

Survivors include a son, William Eugene Baker and wife Becky of Norman Park; a sister, Linda Collins and husband Jackie of Moultrie; a grandchild, William Eugene Baker Jr. of Norman Park; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Winelle Summerlin Truluck

MOULTRIE — Winelle Summerlin Truluck, 79, of Moultrie, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at her residence.

Graveside rites will be held at 11 a.m. today at Funston Cemetery with the Rev. Chuck Scarborough officiating.

Born April 30, 1927, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Truluck was the daughter of the late Silas Summerlin and Thelma Selph Summerlin. She was the retired owner and operator of Truluck Secretarial Services and was a member of Funston Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Franklin Truluck; and two brothers, Charlie Summerlin and DeFord Summerlin.

Survivors include a brother, Wren Summerlin of Moultrie; a sister, Peggy Summerlin Pope of Moultrie; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately after the service.

Edith Lorene Williams Whitehead

MOULTRIE — Edith Lorene Williams Whitehead, 76, of Moultrie died Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home with the Rev. Roy Hicks officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Nephews of Mrs. Whitehead will serve as casketbearers.

Born June 2, 1930, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Whitehead was the daughter of the late Lessie Lee Dunn Williams and the late Robert Lumpkin Williams. She was a custodian in the Colquitt County School System and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Whitehead; two brothers, Roy Williams and Milton Williams; and three sisters, Ruth Lodge, Grace Jones and Lydia Carden.

Survivors include a son, John Franklin Laster of Moultrie; two brothers, Marty Williams and wife Mary Alice of Moultrie and Thomas Williams and wife Bonnie of Macon; two sisters, Karen Perkins and husband Pete of Moultrie and Lillie Kerby and husband Mack of Stockbridge; and one grandson, Tommy Ray Laster of Adel.

Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at the funeral home.
