James Howard Paramore Sr.

MOULTRIE — James Howard Paramore Sr., 83, of Moultrie died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, at Baker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James “Shot” Sellers officiating. Burial will follow at New Elm Cemetery with Charlie Paramore, Bob Cook, Steven Cook, Jack Griffin, Allen Taylor and Patrick Paramore serving as pallbearers. His great-grandchildren will be the honorary pallbearers.

Born March 1, 1923, in Turner County, Ga., he was the son of the late James Whitfield Paramore and Nancy Louise Owens Paramore. He was an electrician.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrytle Lee Adamson Paramore; brothers, Willie J. Paramore, Clarence Paramore and Ed Paramore; and sisters, Lillie Mae Lawson, Odessa Ricks, Rosa Lee Strickland and Elizabeth Hickey.

Survivors include sons, James Howard Paramore Jr. of Ivy, Ga., Charles Paramore and wife Becky of Fitzgerald, Ga., Jack Paramore and wife Lorraine of Milton, Fla., Billy Paramore and wife Lynn of Norman Park and Donald Paramore of Orlando, Fla.; daughter, Barbara Wilson and husband Johnny of Moultrie; brother, W.H. “Dub” Paramore and wife Mary of Live Oak, Fla.; sister, Gladys Freeman of Albany, Ga.; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 10, from 1 to 2 p.m. before the service.

Lanelle Mary Murphy Metzger

POOLER — Lanelle Mary Murphy Metzger, 86, of Pooler died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, at Candler Hospital in Savannah.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Clyde Billingsley will officiate, and casketbearers will be Gene Arnett, Dean Arnett, Jimmy Murphy, Dickie Coleman and Randy Murphy.

Mrs. Metzger was born Dec. 28, 1920, in Colquitt County to the late Mary Texas Suber Murphy and the late Albert Gain Murphy. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter William Metzger.

Survivors include a daughter, Diana Schroder and husband Mike of Bloomindale, Ga.; and five grandchildren, Christopher Leddon, Chance Leddon, Janell Leddon, Jessie Leddon and Skye Dixon.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, Feb. 9, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Jamey Demun Richardson Sr.

MOULTRIE — Jamey Demun Richardson Sr., 26, formerly of Moultrie died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, in Baxter Springs, Kan.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 10, at Mother Easter Baptist Church with the Rev. B. Frank Williams officiating and the Rev. John W. Greene Jr. as the assisting minister. Burial will follow in St. James Pallbearers Cemetery No. 2 with Star Farrell, Steve Reynolds, Robert Colliers III, Willie J. Williams Jr., Lucious Taylor, Oscar Logan Jr. and Patrick Milton serving as pallbearers.

Born Dec. 11, 1980, in Moultrie, he was the son of Anthony D. Bishop and Gwendolyn Richardson, both of Moultrie.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Jeanette Richardson and Cecilia Bishop Roney; great-grandmother, Nettie Richardson, and great-grandfather, Elijah Richardson Sr.; and grandfather, Edward Winkfield.

Survivors include two sons, Nizarre Thompson of Moultrie and Jamey Richardson Jr. of Baxter Springs, Kan.; two sisters, Shankira Bishop and Priscillia Bishop; grandfather, Lester Wilson Sr. of Moultrie; six uncles, Anthony Richardson and wife Gail and André Richardson and wife Ruth, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Lester A. Wilson Jr. and Craig Richardson, both of Moultrie, Kirby Stewart and wife Sharon of Quitman, Ga., and Chris Wilson and wife Cynthia of Atlanta, Ga.; five aunts, Vanessa Stewart, Carla Bishop, Debbie Bishop and Sabrina Bishop, all of Moultrie, and Mary Lois Smith of Boston, Mass.; five great-aunts, Jimmie Williams of Rivera Beach, Fla., Bertha Johnson of Hudson, N.Y., Rosie Mae Bell of Miami, Fla., Debra Richardson of Newark, N.J., and Angela Richardson of Knoxville, Tenn.; six great-uncles, Elijah Richardson Jr. of Daytona Beach, Fla., Eugene Richardson and wife May of Lauderdale Lake, Fla., Melvin Richardson and wife Denise of Miami, Fla., and Calvin Richardson and wife Alberta, Larry Richardson, Issac Scott and wife Karell, all of Moultrie; two special cousins, Larry Williford Jr. and Antonio Worles, both of Knoxville, Tenn.; five special friends, Jennifer Edwards of Baxter Springs, Kan., Tywan Wright of Harrisburg, Pa., Elvin Kerr Jr. of Atlanta, Willie J. Williams Jr. of Alexandria, Va., and Eric Bishop.

The family will receive friends and family at 202 Sixth St. S.W. in Moultrie.

Visitation will be today, Feb. 9, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Luke Strong and Son Mortuary Chapel.
