Dennis “Rainbow” Murle Priddy

NORMAN PARK — Dennis “Rainbow” Murle Priddy, 56, of Norman Park died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at New Elm Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Tillman officiating. Burial will follow in New Elm Baptist Church Cemetery with Mark Holloway, Rodney Holloway, John Collier, Scott Lindsey, Jamie Freeman, Brian Cook and Lee Lindsey serving as pallbearers.

Born June 23, 1950, in Long Beach, Calif., he was the son of the late Clarence Priddy and the late Irene Gooch Priddy. He was a truck driver and a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his son, John Paul Priddy.

Survivors include his wife Amy Lynne Homoki Priddy of Norman Park; a daughter, Marianne Elizabeth Priddy of Moultrie; brothers, Dalton Priddy of California and Reed Priddy of Missouri; sisters, Beverly Forth of Ohio, Eileene King of Missouri and Clarissa Hughes of California; and a grandson, Joshua Ray Priddy.

The family will receive friends today, Dec. 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Charlie Frank Gray

NORMAN PARK — Charlie Frank Gray, 70, of Moultrie died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at Harrell-Faircloth Chapel with the Rev. Donnie Sloan officiating. Burial will follow in Omega Cemetery with Steve Gray, Joe Gray, Bo Hufstetler, Bubba Gray, Chris Carlton, Dexter Carlton and Craig Carlton serving as pallbearers.

Born April, 18, 1936, in Worth County, Ga., he is the son of the late Letti Elice Booth Gray and the late Frank Pickett Gray. He was a retired farmer.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice Gregory Gray.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Patsy McDuffie of Tifton; brothers, James Gray of Omega and Doyle Gray of Norman Park; sisters, Juanita Hufstetler of Albany, Ga., and Margaret Carlton of Hepzibah, Ga.; stepgrandchildren, Donnie McDuffie and Lee McDuffie; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be today, Dec. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

MOULTRIE — Stephanie Hill, 10, of Moultrie died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at the Egleston Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.

MOULTRIE — Katherine Nadine “Kathy” Browning, 52, of Moultrie died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2006, at her home.

Mary Lois Stewart

PAVO — Mary Lois Stewart, 53, of Pavo died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Fla.

Born March 8, 1953, in Brooks County, she was the daughter of the late Beatrice and Ular C. Burgess.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Stewart, and a brother, Ular C. Burgess Jr.

Survivors include her son, Bernard Burgess of Pavo; a daughter, Yugonda Stewart of Pavo; a brother, Willie Burgess and wife Betty of Hartford, Conn.; sisters, Jeanette Lee and husband Willie, Leona Burgess, Betty Burgess and Ethelene Burgess, all of Trenton, N.J.; grandchildren, Yudondria Reynolds, Markescia Reynolds and Katelyn Burgess, all of Pavo; sisters-in-law, Teresa Stewart, Sherry Stewart and Donnie Stewart, all of Pavo; brothers-in-law, Anthony Stewart, Joe Henry Stewart and Terry Stewart and wife Susie, all of Pavo; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Emma Rean Williams

MOULTRIE — Emma Rean Williams, 89, of Second Street Northwest, died Sunday, Dec 17, 2006, at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ga.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at Union Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Strong Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Arthur Hubbard and the Rev. J.W. Greene will officiate. Friends of the family will serve as casketbearers.

Mrs. Williams was born Aug. 20, 1917, in Sylvester, daughter of the late Charlie and Bessie Mae Williams. She was a Baptist and a retired seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond Williams.

She is survived by a very special and devoted cousin whom she loved like a daughter, Inez Slaughter and husband Herman of Columbus; four nephews, Eddie Ronald Williams of Pittsburgh, Pa., Dwight Leon Williams and Derek Williams, both of Savannah, Ga., and Arthur Kirk Williams of Moultrie; one niece, Debra R. Jackson of Moultrie; a goddaughter, Wendy Grimes of New York, N.Y.; two godsons, Darrel Grimes and Darrick Grimes, both of New York; a special cousin, Jeanett Taylor and husband Sol of Ohio; two dear, devoted and personal friends, Barbra J. Barbar and Dorothy Miles, both of Moultrie; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at Strong Funeral Home.

Amy Michelle Rowe Harper

MOULTRIE — Amy Michelle Rowe Harper, 46, of Moultrie died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006 at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, Ga.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, in the chapel of Bowen-Donaldson with the Rev. Terrell Roberts officiating. A private burial will be at a later date.

Born Oct. 17, 1961, in Irwin County, Ga., she was the daughter of Elizabeth “Libby” Burgess Rowe on Ocilla, Ga., and the late Roy H. “Hank” Rowe. She was the office manager for Air Spray Service in Ocilla for 10 years and an interior fashion lighting specialist with Varnell Struck and Associates for the past several years. Her territory included Florida and Georgia. She was a life-long animal activist and spent much of her spare time caring for and relocating abused and lost animals. She was a member of Ocilla Baptist Church in Ocilla. She spent most of her life in Irwin County but moved to Moultrie in 1995.

Survivors include her companion and father of her children, L. Besaw of Moultrie; sons, Daniel Harper and wife Melissa of Tift County and Ronald Shane Harper of Moultrie; a daughter, Kristen Harper of Moultrie; sisters, Paula Shuman of Irwinville, Ga., and Karen O’Neal of Ocilla; two granddaughters, Kaitlyn Harper of Clearwater, Fla., and Allison Ready of Moultrie; and two grandsons, Kyler Harper and Cody Harper both of Tift County.

The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 22, from 3 p.m. until the hour of the service.
