Dorothy Jeanette McMurphy Milam Hendrix
MOULTRIE — Dorothy Jeanette McMurphy Milam Hendrix, 73, of Old Adel Road, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Hopewell Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. The Rev. Andy Cashwell will officiate. Casketbearers will be Steve Tatch, Mark Milam, J.J. McMillan, Howard Melton, Ricky Hufstetler and Richard Hancock.
Mrs. Hendrix was born June 16, 1933, in Thomas County to the late Lillie Mae Kennedy McMurphy and the late William Mack McMurphy. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include her sons, Jerry S. Milam Jr. and wife Vickie, Randy Milam and wife Annette, Tony Milam and wife Robin and Bobby Hendrix and wife Amy; daughters, Paula McMillan and husband E.J., Julie M. Howell, Kathy D. Milam Medina and Donna Kay Milam Burton; two sons-in-law, Richard Barnes and Jose Medina; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette McMurphy and Louise McMurphy; special niece, Wanda Ansley; grandchildren, J.J. McMillan, Jennifer and Howard Melton, Jerry Milam III, Mark Milam and April, Catherine Howell, Monica Medina, Keri Milam, Shasta Milam, Richard, Shannon and Walt Hancock, Melissa Lynn Perkins and Gregory, Taylor and Hunter Hendrix, and Amy Fowler McMillan; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry S. Milam Sr. and Bobby R. Hendrix; a daughter, Elaine Milam Barnes; a son-in-law, George Howell; three brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home. The family may be contacted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E.J. McMillan, 4501 Old Adel Road in Moultrie.

MOULTRIE — Dr. John W. McLeod, 69, of 26th Avenue in Moultrie, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at Woodlands Living Center.

Billy Ray “Tex” Freeman
MOULTRIE — Billy Ray “Tex” Freeman, 70, of Trailer Park Road in Moultrie, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, at Southside Baptist Church with burial at Southside Cemetery in Norman Park. The Rev. Phillip Robinson will officiate. Casketbearers will be Lewis Medley, Brice Mercer, Jack Crosby and Buddy Mercer.
Mr. Freeman was born March 19, 1936, in Tyler County, Texas, the son of Gertie Flowers Freeman and Tommy Lee Freeman, both deceased. He was retired from Hubbell Die Casting and was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Ruth Freeman, and two brothers, Lloyd and Grady Freeman.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Allen Freeman and wife Tammy and Terry Ray Freeman, all of Moultrie; one daughter, Tresia Lynn Mercer and husband Mike of Moultrie; one brother, Marvin Freeman of Hudson, Texas; two sisters, Eunice McAllister of Woodville, Texas, and Marie Brooks of Rockland, Texas; and four grandchildren, Amber Freeman of Moultrie, Brice Mercer of Macon, Lark Mercer of Moultrie and Lakin Mercer of Moultrie.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. today, Dec. 10, at Baker Funeral Home.

Randall Lamar Kent Sr.
DOERUN — Randall Lamar Kent Sr., 61, of Highway 133 North in Doerun, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with burial at Mt. Sinai Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Scarrow will officiate. Casketbearers will be Lex Dorminey, Clint Allen, Dan Douglas, Bill Owens, Jon Culbreth, Hugh Eledge, Greg Phelps and James Allegood.
Mr. Kent was born April 27, 1945, in Colquitt County to the late Ruby Cook Kent and the late Ira Kent. He was a machine operator at Miller Brewing Company.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Arnold Kent of Doerun; two sons, Randall Kent Jr. and wife Karen and James David Kent and wife Crystal, all of Moultrie; one daughter, Angela Bass and partner April Wilkes of Valdosta; two brothers, Howard Kent and Donald Kent, both of Athens; two sisters, Linda Thompson of Sylvester and Shirley Simon of Moultrie; and three grandchildren, Ashley Bass, Staci Bass and Caleb Kent.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Cobb Funeral Chapel. The family may be contacted at the residence, 5643 Highway 133 N. in Doerun.

Cecil James Rehberg
MOULTRIE — Cecil James Rehberg, 67, of Pierce Road, Moultrie, died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at his residence.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, at Murphy Cemetery with the Rev. Dewitt Rehberg officiating.
Mr. Rehberg was born Aug. 26, 1939, in Grady County to the late Olin Dewitt Rehberg Sr. and the late Frannie Lou Allen Rehberg. He was retired from the U.S. Army and was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Ann Whitaker Rehberg; son, John Chadwick Rehberg and fiance Tiffany Jarvis; daughter, Dottie Jai Aikens and husband Randy L. Aikens; two brothers, Olin Edwitt Rehberg and wife Anita and Charles Daryl Rehberg and wife Nancy, all of Thomasville; four sisters, Judy L. Duncan and husband Gene, Diane Whitaker and special friend Major Bryant and Jeanne Baggett and husband Russell, all of Thomasville, and Debbie Wright and husband Danny of Moultrie; and grandchildren, Ra’Mya L. Aikens, Randy L. Aikens Jr. and Ryan Dewayne Aikens.
Visitation will be 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home.

Henry Allegood Jr.
MOULTRIE — Henry Allegood Jr., 91, of Azalea Drive, Moultrie, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Mahan and the Rev. J.E. Moak officiating. His body will be entombed in the Good Shepard Mausoleum at Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
Mr. Allegood was born Sept. 8, 1915, in Colquitt County to the late Henry Allegood Sr. and the late Alberta Etheridge Allegood. He retired from Swift and Co. after 38 years and then worked another 14 years as a government meat inspector. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Moultrie.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Hall Allegood; one son, Travis Allegood and wife Donna; two daughters, Becky Minix and husband John and Ginger Beckham and husband Brad; three grandchildren, Leslie Allegood and wife Amy, Julie Holley and husband Jason and Ashley Dzadek and husband Christian; and two great-grandchildren, Beau Allegood and Abby Allegood.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will follow the service Monday, Dec. 11.
Charitable contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Moultrie or The American Cancer Society.
