Grier, Sutton reach finals

MOULTRIE — Colquitt County High wrestlers Ricky Grier and Antonio Sutton have reached the finals of the Hornet Classic, being held in Adel at Cook High School.
The two will wrestle this afternoon for the championship of their weight classes.
Grier, a senior who is a first-year wrestler, pinned opponents from Randolph-Clay and Turner County on Friday to qualify for the finals.
Since losing his first match of the season, Grier, who wrestles at 215, has yet to lose.
Sutton, the defending Region 1-AAAAA heavyweight champion, pinned wrestlers from Mitchell-Baker and Cook to reach the finals.
A senior, Sutton was 35-3 last year, with two of his losses coming at the state tournament.
Although Grier and Sutton are the only Colquitt County wrestlers with a shot at a championship, Packers in every weight class but 160 and 189 will return to Adel to wrestle today.
