7th graders win championship

MOULTRIE — Colquitt County’s seventh grade football team captured the SGAC championship Wednesday evening with a 24-18 win over Coffee County.
Quarterback Rashad Richardson kept the football to score the first touchdown himself, after which Matt Sailor scored a 2-point conversion.
The second Colquitt County score came on a halfback pass from Sailor to D’Quan Nelson, and Sailor scored another 2-point conversion.
The third score came on a quarterback sneak from Richardson, followed by a 2-point conversion from Quan Jones.
Coach Stephen Warnock praised the defense for a great effort in the fourth quarter that sealed the victory.
