Jewell A. Terrell Clark

MOULTRIE — Jewell A. Terrell Clark, 79, formerly of Moultrie, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Florida.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. The Rev. Eddie Dee will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jim Miles, Larry Chitty, David Law, Ralph Giles, Ronald Davis and Harris McIntyre.

Mrs. Clark was born March 19, 1927, in Huntsville, Ala., to the late Bessie Floyd Terrell and Leslie Terrell. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion “Quail” Clark; three brothers, Johnny, Billy and J.C. Terrell; and two sisters, Lois Brooks and Mamie Coffman.

Survivors include a son, Robert A. Clark and wife Dale of Mayo, Fla.; two daughters, Becky Roussell and husband John of Tallahassee and Linda Moore and husband James of Moultrie; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be noon until the time of the service Monday.

Doris Watson Stripling

ANDERSON CITY — Doris Watson Stripling, 76, of Anderson City, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, at Pine Shadows Retirement Home.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 9, at Banks Funeral Home chapel in Sylvester. Burial will be in Kimball Cemetery. The Rev. Bruce Gordon will officiate.

Mrs. Stripling was born Jan. 19, 1930, daughter of John Ancil Watson and Arie DeBerry Watson. She was a homemaker and lived in Worth County all her life. She was a member of Union Baptist Church and attended Antioch Baptist Church as well.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Hoyt Stripling, and a brother, John Harrison Watson.

Survivors include a daughter, Debbie S. and husband Stacey Jones of Sylvester; a son, Bruce and wife Betty Stripling of Anderson City; a sister, Mildred Harrell of Rhine, Ga., a brother, Lemmie Watson, and a sister-in-law, Bertie Watson, both of Albany; six grandchildren, Jordan, Landon and Austin Jones, Becky Hobby and husband Jeff, Bruce Stripling Jr. and wife Ruth, and Kristy Horne and husband Shannon; and three great-grandchildren, Trent and Zack Hobby and Ty Horne.

The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Sunday at Banks Funeral Home.

Banks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.



Essie M. Clark

MOULTRIE — Essie M. Clark, 92, of Moultrie, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, at the Brownwood Health Care Center.

Arrangements will be announced later by Strong Funeral Home of Moultrie.



Daisy Mae Williams

MOULTRIE — Daisy Mae Williams, 67, of 314 Sixth Ave. N.W., died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Arrangements will be announced by Luke Strong and Son Mortuary.
