Eugene Hawkins

MOULTRIE — Eugene Hawkins, 65, of Moultrie died Friday, July 21, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Luke Strong and Son Mortuary.



Maurice A. “Frenchie” Naquin

MOULTRIE — Maurice A. “Frenchie” Naquin, 69, of Moultrie died Saturday, July 22, 2006, at Capitol Medical Center in Tallahassee, Fla.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Terry Webb officiating. Music will be provided by vocalist Terry Gibson, with songs “Amazing Grace,” “How Great Thou Art” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain.” Interment will follow at Murphy Cemetery. Chris Naquin, Al Whittington, Roger Dickerson, Wilfred Naquin, Jack Montgomery and Dennard Robison will serve as casketbearers.

Born Aug. 19, 1936, in New Orleans, Mr. Naquin was the son of the late Roselie LaBorde Naquin and the late Wilfred A. Naquin. He was the former owner of Frenchie’s Billiard Parlor and was employed in the electronics department at Wal-Mart in Thomasville. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Griffin Naquin of Moultrie; a son, Robert Naquin and wife Carolyn of Moultrie; two daughters, Darlene McHan and husband Walt of Moultrie and Cindy Nethers and husband David of Cleveland, Ohio; a brother, Wilfred Naquin of New Orleans; four sisters, Helen Ziegler and husband Joe of Covington, La., Frances Sandras and husband Larry of Harvey, La., Audrey Taylor of Gretna, La., and Jane Chaisson of San Antonio; five grandchildren, Chris Naquin and wife Stephanie, Brittany Gay, Jeremy Hall, Matthew Nethers and Johnathan Nethers; and a stepgrandson, Phillip Hayre.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 24, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

MOULTRIE — Gladys G. Pullen, 93, of Moultrie died Saturday, July 22, 2006.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Harrell Faircloth Funeral Home.
