MOULTRIE — Six Colquitt County High School divers have been named high school All-Americans by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association.

Anna Aguero, Owen Blank, Ryan Helms, Ali Lepech, Hannah Moore and Nic Price received the honor last week.

Moore, who just finished her junior year at Colquitt County, has been named a high school All-America for three straight years.

She was the Georgia high school state champion as a freshman, was second in the state as a sophomore and finished third this year.

Helms and Blank have been named All-Americans two straight years.

Helms, who just finished his sophomore year, has won the high school state championship in Georgia’s largest classification the last two years.

Blank, also a sophomore, was third at the state meet in 2005 and placed fourth this year.

Price, named an All-American for the first time, finished sixth at this year’s state championship meet.

Lepech and Aguero were named for the first time.

Just a freshman last year, Lepech finished second in the state championship meet, just 12 points behind state champion Lexi Bryant of Duluth High.

Aguero was third in the state championship meet in 2005 and placed fourth this year.

“That is a great accomplishment to have six All-Americans from the same school in the same season,” said Ron Piemonte, who has worked with all six as coach of the Moss Farms Diving program.

Former Colquitt County High diver Eric Winnard, who competed the last two seasons for Oconee County High in Watkinsville, also was named a high school All-American.
