Sally Simmons Terry
MOULTRIE — Sally Simmons Terry, 54, of Coolidge, Ga., died Saturday, June 17, 2006 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., today, June 20 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Deacon Phil Walsh officiating. Burial will follow at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.
Born Nov. 6, 1951, in Lowndes County, she was the daughter of the late Myrtice Fender Hall and the late Fred Simmons and she was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband William H. Terry Jr. of Coolidge; a son, Tim Hall of Norman Park; a daughter, Nancy Stone of Moultrie; a step-father, John Hall of Norman Park; brothers, Gary Simmons of Jacksonville, Fla., Fred Simmons of Alligator Point, Fla. and Tom Simmons of Norman Park; sisters, Barbara Hall of Norman Park, June Dempsey of Moultrie, Patsy Morris of Moultrie, Pam Fowler of Columbus, Ga. and Rose Simmons of Sparks, Ga.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be today, June 20 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Christine Huong Nguyen
HARTSFIELD — Christine Huong Nguyen, 49, of Hartsfield, died Friday, June 16, 2006, at Mitchell County Hospital.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m., Thursday, June 22, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Juan Lopez officiating. Burial will follow at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens. Cu Nguyen, Muon Le, Hoc Nguyen, Lam Ly, Luan Ly, Mai Holly Huynh, Phuoc Nguyen and Tu Nguyen will serve as casketbearers.
Born Sep. 4, 1956 in Da Nang, Vietnam, she was the daughter of The Thi Nguyen and An Nguyen of Vietnam. She was a homemaker and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church
Survivors include her husband, Nghe Van Phan of Hartsfield; two daughters, Vivian Phan and Melina Phan both of Hartsfield; a brother, Thanh Nguyen of Vietnam; and a sister, Hue Nguyen of Atlanta, Ga.
Visitation will be Wednesday, June 21 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Alyse Cannon Morey
FUNSTON — Alyse Cannon Morey, 83, of Funston died Sunday, June 18, 2006, at Brownwood Health Care.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, at Rose Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph Harrell officiating. Interment will follow at Funston Cemetery. Ashley Morey, Bernard Cannon, Michael Trasatti, Harold Cannon, Kenneth Fannin and Mark Martin will serve as casketbearers.
Born Dec. 22, 1922, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Morey was the daughter of the late Genova Holland Cannon and the late James William Cannon. She was a homemaker and was of the Church of God faith.
Survivors include her husband, Boyd Morey of Funston; a son, Bradley C. Morey of Ellabelle; four daughters, Anitta Watson of Monohan, Texas, Wanda Trasatti of Katy, Texas, Kathy Lanigan of Metter and Brenda Martin and husband Mark of Moultrie; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Lewis Elliot Foster
MOULTRIE — Lewis Elliot Foster, 88, of Moultrie died Friday, June 16, 2006, at Emory Hospital in Atlanta.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 22, at Mother Easter Baptist Church with the Rev. Emory H. Hopkins officiating, assisted by the Rev. John W. Greene Jr. Burial will follow at St. James Pallbearers Cemetery #1. Deacons of Mother Easter Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. Members of American Legion Post 533 will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Born Jan. 14, 1918, in McRae, Mr. Foster was the son of the late David Foster and the late and Laura Horne Foster. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 533 and a Master Mason of Nehemiah Lodge No. 138.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Louise Holton Foster.
Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Pruitt and husband Leslie of Chicago, Ill., Brenda Scott and husband Bernard of Decatur and Prudence Brown-Harrington and husband Roger of Greensboro, N.C.; six grandchildren, Lakwan Pruitt and Shannon Elliot Pruitt, both of Chicago, Ill., Jason Scott and wife Tyisha of Riverdale, Marcus Lewis Elliot Scott and wife LaSonya of Tallahassee, Fla. and Shana Eunice Louise Brown and Adrian Brown, both of Greensboro, N.C.; a special niece, Betty Jones of Riverdale; two sisters, Marie Young of Moultrie and Albernice Nelson of Cincinnati, Ohio; a brother, Henry James Foster of Englewood, N.J.; two sisters-in-law, Marion Foster of Moultrie and Jean Foster of Cincinnati, Ohio; an aunt, Lula Foster of Broxton; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

ADEL — Larry Brogdon Hunt, 70, of Adel died Sunday, June 18, 2006, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Westview Cemetery.

ALBANY, GA. — Beretha Godfrey Nixon, 77, of Sigsbee died Sunday, June 18, 2006 at Palmyra Medical Center in Albany, Ga.

Stephen “Rocky” Charlton Carr
WARWICK, GA. — Stephen “Rocky” Charlton Carr, 21, of Warwick, Ga. died Saturday, June 17, 2006.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 21 at First Baptist Church of Albany with Dr. William E. (Butch) Knight and Dr. James Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native and life long resident of Albany, Ga., he was employed with Minor Brothers Farming. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Albany and attended Deerfield-Windsor School. He was considered a true “Southern Gentleman” and was an avid outdoorsman.
Survivors include his parents, Barry D. and Julie S. Carr of Albany, Ga.; two sisters, Laura Carr and Kelly Carr both of Albany, Ga.; paternal grandparents, C.H. “Red” and Betty Carr of Albany, Ga.; and maternal grandparents, Hoyt and Doris Smithwick of Albany, Ga.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, June 20 at Mathews Funeral Home.
