24 compete in Ga. Games tennis

MOULTRIE — The Georgia Games Southwest District round robin tennis tournament held last week at the Jim Buck Goff Recreation Complex courts drew 24 players.
The top three players in each age group received medals. All players were awarded Georgia Games T-shirts.
In the 10-and-under boys division, Josh Smith was first, followed by Cody Jenkins and Buck Blalock. Smith won over Jenkins 8-4 and Blalock 8-1. Jenkins defeated Blalock 8-1.
Conley Ward won the 10-and-under girls division defeating Courtney Terrell 8-2.
David Forehand won the gold medal in 12-and-under boys. Reed Wells was second and Paul Leonard was third.
Forehand won over Wells 9-7 and Landon Rehberg 8-1. Wills won over Leonard 8-5 and Rehberg 8-1. Leonard won over Forehand 8-6 and Rehberg 8-0.
Kayla Kelly won the 14-and-under girls division. She was followed by Ivey Jane Reeves and Jana Harvin.
Kelly won over Harvin 8-5; Reeves, 6-1; and Rachel Funderburk 8-4. Reeves defeated Harvin 9-7 and Funderburk 8-5. Harvin defeated Funderburk 7-6.
Blake Jenkins took the gold medal in 14-and-under boys. Jacob Tompkins was second and Bo Blalock was third.
Jenkins won over Tompkins 6-3; over Blalock 6-4; over Chason Forehand 6-0; and over Brandon Oaks 7-5.
Tompkins defeated Oaks 6-4; Stephen Brown 6-3; Forehand 6-0; and Blalock 6-3; Blalock defeated Oaks 7-5; Forehand 6-0; and Brown 6-1. Oaks defeated Brown 8-4 and Forehand 6-0. Brown defeated Jenkins 7-5 and Forehand 6-2.
In 16-and-under girls, Jessica Harvin finished first. Carli Hester was second, followed by Kate Reeves.
Harvin won over Hester 8-2; over Reeves 8-6; and over Rachel Tucker 6-1.
Hester defeated Reeves 6-1 and Tucker 8-2. Reeves defeated Tucker 8-1
