Tommie Mac Hudson

COLLINS, Miss. — Tommie Mac Hudson, 73, formerly of Moultrie, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 3, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow in Lone Star Cemetery in Collins, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Crumley Hudson; parents; brothers, Fon Rae Hudson and Bobby Joe Hudson; and a son, Tommy Brian Hudson.

Survivors include a daughter, Lezlie Hudson of Collins, Miss.; one granddaughter, Regina Lee Hudson; and one great-grandchild, Patrick Brian Hudson Boone.

Visitation will be Friday, June 2, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.



Nadine Hazel Ellis Tumlin

MOULTRIE— Nadine Hazel Ellis Tumlin, 89, of Moultrie died Monday, May 29, 2006, at Park Regency Assisted Living.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, June 2, at Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Cecil Felts officiating.

Born Aug. 22, 1916, in Gilmer County, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late John Madison Ellis and Mary Elizabeth Hyde Ellis. She was retired as a secretary from Whelchel, Carlton and Waller Law Office.

She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Tumlin; 6 brothers; and 3 sisters.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, June 2, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

William Herbert “Pat” Patterson

MOULTRIE — William Herbert “Pat” Patterson, 77, of Moultrie died Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at his residence.

Graveside rites will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 2, at Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Stanley Norman officiating.

Born Oct. 14, 1928, in Ariton, Ala., he was the son of the late Thelma Paulk Patterson and J.W. Patterson. He was the parts manager at DeMott Tractor Company and a veteran of the United States Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Damaris Whitehurst Patterson of Moultrie; a son, Michael Howard Patterson and wife Connie D. of Moultrie; a daughter, Linda Sue Simpson and husband Danny of Cairo, Ga.; sisters, Helen Clower of Navara, Fla., and Bernell Betts of Macon, Ga.; five grandchildren, Jeffery Michael Patterson, Carol Patterson Floyd, Raymond Simpson, Jason Simpson and Brooke Ellis Wingate; and four great-grandchildren, Samantha Jo Patterson, Connor Garrett Patterson, Evan Patterson Floyd and Garron Joe Wingate.

Wayne Potts

SYLVESTER, Ga. — Wayne Potts, 70, of Sylvester, Ga., died Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 2, at Evergreen Baptist Church with the Rev. Danny Moree and the Rev. Ken Potts Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Born Jan. 11, 1936, in Worth County, where he lived all his life, he was the son of the late Cecil Lafayette Potts and Ocie Dell Taylor Potts. He was a farmer and a carpenter and had been employed with Civil Service at the Marine Base. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member and a deacon of Evergreen Baptist Church, where he was a former teacher of the Adult Men’s Sunday School class. He was also a member of the Kinfolk Quartette.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Blalock Potts of Sylvester, Ga.; daughter, Missy Young and husband Chris of Sumner, Ga.; sons, Steve Potts and wife Lori, Mitch Potts and Jason Potts and wife Selena, all of Sylvester, Ga.; a brother, Caunell Potts and wife Latrelle of Sale City, Ga.; sisters, Jeanette Brooks and husband David of Tifton, Melba Benoit and husband Harris of Crossville, Tenn., Sandra Watson and husband Darrell of Sylvester, Ga., and June McDonald and husband Bo of Sylvester, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Kyle Potts, Megan Potts, Garet Young, Darrin Potts, Taylor Beth Young, Lauren Potts, Jill Young, Jaime Young and Cade Potts.

The family will receive friends tonight, June 1, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Banks Funeral Home.
