Frances Patricia Toole
AUGUSTA, Ga. — Frances Patricia Toole, 77, of Augusta, Ga., died Monday, May 1, 2006, at University Hospital in Augusta.
A private graveside service will be held Saturday, May 6, at Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fla.
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. Toole was the daughter of the late James Dayton King and the late Winifred Marcella Hernandez King.
She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in 1947, playing on the basketball team and serving as manager, and she also participated in the school choir, glee club and Sodality. She was a parishioner at St. Matthews Catholic Church and worked at the Community Chest.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, James Milton Toole of Augusta, Ga.; a brother, Kenneth Dayton King of O’Brien, Fla.; a sister, Helen Marcella McHone of Jacksonville, Fla.; three children, Frances Melissa Davis of Atlanta, Catherine Toole Coleman and husband Edward of Augusta, Ga., and James Devin Toole wife Deidre of Cartersville; three grandchildren, Emma Leigh Coleman of Augusta, Ga., Marcella Keenum Davis of Tuscaloosa and James Lucas Toole of Cartersville; two nephews, James Patrick McHone and Robert Newton King, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a niece, Sharon Lynn Hudson of O’Brien, Fla.

Norman Howell Grantham
NORMAN PARK — Norman Howell Grantham, 92, of Norman Park died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at Sunrise Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at First Baptist Church of Norman Park with the Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Interment will follow at Deep Bottom Cemetery. Roy Salter, Danny Singley, Billy Howell, Lowell Mulkey, Hamp Howell and Tom Sumner will serve as casketbearers.
Born April 9, 1914, in Colquitt County, Ms. Grantham was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. T.E. Howell. She was a retired nurse with Colquitt Regional Medical Center and was a member of First Baptist Church of Norman Park.
She was preceded in death by a son, William Norman “Joe” Grantham; three brothers, Jack Howell, Frank Howell and Ernest Howell; two sisters, Nell Howell Scarborough and Elizabeth Howell Shirah; and two grandchildren, Joey Grantham and Connie Sue Grantham.
Survivors include two sons, Julian Grantham of Albany and Tommie L. Grantham of Onawa, Iowa; a daughter, Carolyn Booth and husband Cody of Norman Park; a brother, Hugh Howell of Stoneham, Mass.; three sisters, Nadine Caldwell of Moultrie, Lillian Phillips of Live Oak, Fla. and Grace Union of Orangeburg, S.C.; nine grandchildren, Angela Pezent, Jennifer Croft, Susan Grantham, Vickie Grantham, Tom Grantham Jr., Bob Grantham, Scott Johnson, Michael Grantham and David Grantham; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

OCHLOCKNEE — Foy Randall Harris, 65, of Ochlocknee, died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at Archbold Memorial Hospital.
Local survivors include his son, Edward Harris and wife Laurie; grandson, Rodney and Tonya Harris; and granddaughter, Voncile and Robby Gibbs, all of Norman Park.

THOMASVILLE — Gwen Mullins, 84, of Thomasville, formerly of Moultrie, died Tuesday, May 2, 2006, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at Westview Cemetery in Moultrie with the Rev. Keith Hill officiating. Visitation will follow the service.
