MOULTRIE — John Fordham shot an even-par 72 and was the low medalist for the second time in a row for the Colquitt County middle school golf team, but the Packers came in second in Monday’s Baby Blue Devil Invitational at Spring Hill Country Club in Tifton.

Colquitt also got a 82 from Billy Edwards, an 88 from Lee Wright and a 92 from Davis Edwards for a 334.

Hahira took first place in the tournament with a 332. Coffee placed third.

The Packers will travel to Francis Lake Golf Club in Valdosta on Thursday for a nine-hole match against Lowndes Middle School.

Colquitt will be off next week during spring break, then will play in the South Georgia Athletic Conference tournament at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 10, at Beaver Creek Golf Club in Douglas.

Colquitt also will play in the Lowndes Middle School Booster Tournament on April 20.
