Child’s pregnancy is investigated

MOULTRIE — A Moultrie woman reported to police Saturday that her 15-year-old daughter is pregnant and the father is a 21-year-old acquaintance.

The 37-year-old woman reported the incident to police after she took her 15-year-old daughter to a doctor Saturday morning. It was there the girl was told she was 2-and-a-half months pregnant.

Police reports said the girl told her mother the 21-year-old male acquaintance was the father of her child.

The mother had spoken with the male acquaintance before about the teenl, and police reports said he had stated he would leave her alone. The officer took the information for the report and turned it over to a Moultrie police investigator.

The investigator contacted the Department of Family and Children’s Services for assistance in conducting an interview with the young gir, reports said. The investigator attempted to contact the mother but was not successful. The 21-year-old male could be charged with statutory rape in the case.



Arrests:

• Francisco Lopez, 23, of Circle Road, Lot 1, was charged Sunday with defective equipment and driving without a license.

• Nicholas Hernandez Beltran, 29, of 151 Deer Run Road, was charged Sunday with DUI and disorderly conduct.

• Zacaris Benigno Hernandez, 24, of 151 Deer Run Road, was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct.

• Clifford Harold Green, 45, of 104 Vinson St., was charged Sunday with DUI and improper exhaust.

• A 16-year-old boy was charged Friday with disorderly conduct.

• Jeffery Clark Hutchinson, 40, of 711-B Third Ave. S.E., was charged Saturday with two counts of theft by receiving stolen property and probation violation.

• Peter C. Thornton, 33, of 516 Fifth Ave. N.W., was charged Friday with driving with a suspended license (second offense).

• Vicencio Rivera Meza, 22, of 155 Parkway Drive, Lot 3, in Tifton, was charged Sunday with driving without a license.

• Robert David Thompson, 59, of 2983 Moore Crossing in Valdosta, was charged Friday with theft by deception and theft by conversion.

Reginald Donterrius Williams, 23, of 2128 Hickory Bend in Conyers, was charged Saturday with three counts of deposit account fraud.

• Jimmy Arthur McCullough, 43, of 3505 Doerun-Norman Park Road in Norman Park, was charged Monday with obstruction, battery and a bench warrant.



Other Incidents:

• Henry Suggs, of First Street Northwest, reported an unknown person broke out seven windows at his residence between 5:12 p.m. Saturday and 5:30 a.m. Monday. Total damage to the windows was approximately $350. Suggs provided officers with the name of a female acquaintance he suspects broke out the windows.

• Lora Robinson, of First Avenue Southwest, reported an unknown person broke out a passenger vent window of her Jeep Cherokee between 5 p.m. Sunday and 7:52 a.m. Monday. Damage to the window was $100.

• Alfredo Gomez, of Regency Village Drive, reported an unknown person threw a rock at the windshield of his Ford F-150, cracking the windshield, between 7:15 p.m. and 10:34 p.m. Sunday. Damage to the windshield was estimated at $300.

• Camilla Palmore reported an unknown person stole a 31-inch television, a set of living room furniture and five antique doors from a residence she owns on First Avenue Southwest Sunday. The total value of the stolen items was $1,589.

• Eureka Green, of Fourth Avenue Southeast, reported an unknown person forced open the front door of her residence between 10:30 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. Sunday. Damage to the door was approximately $100, but nothing was reported stolen from inside the residence.

• Abigail Prather reported an unknown person broke out a passenger window of her Ford Taurus while it was parked at a residence on Ninth Street Southwest between 5 p.m. Saturday and 2:48 p.m. Sunday. Damage to the vehicle was unknown at the time of report.

• Yasika Wiley, of Fifth Street Southwest, reported an unknown person stole a .45-caliber handgun from the glove box of her Nissan Altima between 7:02 a.m. and 12:56 p.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen handgun was unknown at the time of report.

• Sheila Grant reported a female acquaintance broke out four windows of her Nissan Maxima while it was parked at a residence on First Street Northwest Saturday. Total damage to the vehicle was $160.

• Kaylar Lawton reported a male acquaintance kicked the driver’s side door of her Ford Taurus while it was parked at Wendy’s on First Avenue Southeast Friday. Damage to the vehicle was approximately $400.

• Tameka Palmore reported a male acquaintance slashed a rear tire and damaged the windshield of her Toyota Camry while it was parked at a residence on Old Adel Highway between 8 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Damage to the vehicle was approximately $460. She also reported the same male acquaintance cut three tires on the vehicle Monday. Total damage to the vehicle was estimated at $150.

• Shaniqua Haggins, of Seventh Avenue Northwest, reported an unknown person broke out the windshield of her Cadillac Deville with an unknown object Saturday. Damage to the vehicle was $300.

• An attendant at Enmark on First Avenue Southeast reported an unknown person pumped $42.41 in gasoline and left without paying for it. The attendant described the vehicle as a black Ford Ranger, and she provided officers with the vehicle’s tag number.

• A Moultrie police officer pursued a Cadillac Deville on Sixth Street Southeast Friday. The Deville, however, did not stop for the and was reported being used without authorization by the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office. The Deville eluded the officer after he was blocked while on Seventh Avenue Southeast, but the Deville was spotted after it had crashed into a fence, belonging to Eddie Anderson of Third Street Southeast. Deveta Perez also reported the Deville sideswiped her Honda Accord that was parked in front of a residence on Seventh Avenue Southeast before hitting the fence. The driver of the Deville fled from the scene on foot, and the officer was unable to locate him

• Cynthia Wilson, of First Avenue Northwest, reported an unknown person stole a pouch, containing her Social Security card, $200 cash and her food stamp card, from her bedroom Friday. The total value of the stolen items was unknown at the time of report.

• Justin Cooper, of Tompkins Road, reported an unknown person stole a Husqvarna chainsaw, a Dewalt screw gun, a skill saw and a Channel Lock 150-piece socket set from his shed Thursday. The total value of the stolen items was $710.

• Jack Bivins reported two male acquaintances stole a spider injector system after they were confronted about disassembling a motor at Bivins Automotive on Sylvester Highway Friday. The value of the stolen injector system was $800.

• Goldie Young, of Highway 33 South, reported a male acquaintance stole 205 DVD’s, a tackle box with gear inside, a rod and reel and the jack to a Jeep Cherokee between Feb. 15 and Saturday. The total value of the stolen items was $4,070.

• Bruce Buckler reported an unknown person broke out a side window and stole a mini-television, a microwave and a mini-refrigerator from 319 Auto Salvage on Highway 319 North between 7:45 p.m. Saturday and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The total value of the stolen items was $180.

• Freddie Moyer, of Sylvester Drive, reported an unknown person stole a Chrysler Sebring from his property between 12:15 a.m. and 8 a.m. Sunday. The value of the stolen vehicle was $10,000.
