Annie Ruth Massey Hancock
MOULTRIE — Annie Ruth Massey Hancock, 81, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Stanley Norman, Curtis Eason and Lane Fordham officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery with William Drake, Jerry Reese, Bryan Patterson, Kevin Patterson, Brandon Drake and Jason Reese serving as pallbearers.
Born Oct. 11, 1924 in Hart County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Annie Goldsmith Massey and the late Bernice Lee Massey.
Survivors include her husband Roy Hancock of Moultrie; a son, Gary C. Hancock and wife Linda of Hartwell, Ga.; a daughter, Joyce Hancock Patterson of Tifton; four step children; grandchildren, Kelly Ann Drake, Roy Kevin Patterson, James Bryan Patterson, Diane Leigh Tee, Ashley Suzanne Hancock, Jason Reese, and Dana Genice Reese; four step grandchildren; and great-grandchildren, Lisa Patterson, Brandon Drake, Justine Patterson, Clinton Drake, Jamie Patterson, Darla Drake and Katlyn Marie Tee.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Cobb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Norman V. Saunders
MOULTRIE — Norman V. Saunders, 86, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Temple Baptist Church with the Revs. Terry Webb and Robert Tilson officiating. Burial will follow at Murphy Cemetery with his nephews serving as pallbearers.
Born Oct. 25, 1919 in Pavo, he was the son of the late Lola Mae William Saunders and the late James Washington Saunders. He was a salesman for Trimble Seed Co. for 16 years and with Gold Kist for 18 years. He was a Deacon at Temple Baptist Church and an avid gardener.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Noel Saunders, Bennie Saunders, Harry Saunders and Dilburn Saunders.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Ida Wynelle Miller Saunders of Moultrie; sons, Roger Norman Saunders of Moultrie and Thomas Lamar Saunders of Moultrie; daughter, Linda Saunders Wilson and husband Jerry of Moultrie; brother, Earl Saunders of Highland City, Fla., sisters, Nettie Durrance of Wachula, Fla., Ruthell Chambers of Pelham, Mae Retha Rippeon of Walkersville, Md. and Edna Gay of Moultrie; four grandchildren, Montae Wilson Webb, Edward J. Wilson II, Bradley Kirk Wilson and fiancee, Heather and Michelle Saunders Cecil; and two great-grandchildren, Tanner Blake Wilson and Gregory Scott Cecil.
Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 9 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Charles Ellis Scarborough
MOULTRIE — Charles Ellis Scarborough, 81, of Moultrie died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Worsham and the Rev. Jerry Deans officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church will serve as casketbearers.
Born Feb. 15, 1924, in Troup County, Mr. Scarborough was the son of the late Mamie Lee Ferguson Scarborough and the late Garnett Manley Scarborough. He was a retired mechanic and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Ann Scarborough; and a brother, Bobby Ray Scarborough.
Survivors include his wife, Everlene Chapman Scarborough of Moultrie; two sons, the Rev. Chuck Scarborough and wife Dorcus of Moultrie and Karey Lane Scarborough and wife Lynn of Jesup; a daughter, Jolene Ward and husband Jack of Buena Vista, Ga.; a brother, Thomas Donald Scarborough of Arizona; a sister, Frances Norred of Calhoun; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Donations may be made to the Oak Grove Memorial Fund.

MOULTRIE — Mary Etta Humphreys Webb, 87, of Moultrie died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, at her residence.
