Perman Allen “Buddy” Touchton

PAVO — Perman Allen “Buddy” Touchton, 65, of Branch Road in Pavo, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at his residence in Brooks County.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Eastside Baptist Church with burial at Pleasant Hill. Ed Godwin and Paul Voyles will officiate.

Mr. Touchton was born Dec. 12, 1940, in Brooks County to the late Daniel John Touchton and the late Lillie Mae Bishop Touchton. He was a retired owner-operator of a trucking operation. He was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, John Allen Touchton of Moultrie and Charles Allen Touchton of St. Augustine, Fla.; four daughters, Cheryl Griffin of St. Augustine, Melissa Ann Tillman of Moultrie, Rhonda Jean McCrea of Pavo and Mary Ann Wilder of Warner Robins; three sisters, Lois Dean, Louise O’Neal and Lula Mae Weldon, all of Pavo; and 16 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Marion Leroy Means

NORMAN PARK — Marion Leroy Means, 71, of Ellenton-Norman Park Road in Norman Park, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home. A private interment is planned.

Mr. Means was born June 9, 1934, in Barry County, Ill., to the late John R. Means and the late Violee A. Means. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and retired from Al-Temp Services in Tifton, where he worked as a mechanical engineer. He was a Methodist.

Survivors include his wife, June Figgatt Means of Norman Park; two daughters, Sonja M. Holliday of Sheridan, Ind., and Robin M. Logan of Bargersville, Ind.; two sons, Bryan S. Figgatt of Adel and Kirk D. Figgatt and wife Wanda of Tifton; two brothers, Marlin O. Means and wife Dixie of Norman Park and John R. Means and wife Barbara of Newport Beach, Calif.; one sister, Margilen Nagel; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Marion Russell Means; and a brother, Delton L. Means.

The family will receive friends after the funeral service. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Karen Denise Dell

MOULTRIE — Karen Denise Dell, 19, of Highway 33 North, Moultrie, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, in Moultrie.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Elm Cemetery. The Rev. Eddie Dee and the Rev. Chris Walden will officiate, and pallbearers will be Eric Watson, Chris Powers, Scott Powers, Bo Sweat, Lee Blackburn and Chuck Blackburn. Honorary pallbearers will be Hannah Parrish, Miranda Stanford, Heather Dotson, Jessica Dupree and Laura Sweat.

Miss Dell was born Sept. 18, 1986, in Colquitt County, daughter of Maxine Mattie Blackburn Dell and Richard Arnold Dell Sr. of Moultrie. She was a member of Young Christian Crusade Church and was a student at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. She was employed at Southwest Georgia Bank.

Survivors include her parents, Maxine Mattie Blackburn Dell and Richard Arnold Dell Sr. of Moultrie; her grandmother, Ethell Blackburn; and her brother, Richard Arnold Dell Jr. and wife Missy of Moultrie.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ellis Franklin Dell and Mattie Mae Dell and Hoyt Lee Blackburn.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. today at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home.

Minnie Lee Smith Wright

NORMAN PARK — Minnie Lee Smith Wright, 80, of Norman Park died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at Week’s Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Williams officiating, assisted by the Rev. Tommy Wright and the Rev. Stanley Norman. Interment will follow at Week’s Chapel Cemetery. Dale Wright, Nicholas Wright, Charles Wright, Bryan Wright, Jerry Hall and Glenn Chafin will serve as casketbearers.

Born July 14, 1925, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Wright was the daughter of the late Robert Ed Smith and the late Minnie Nasworthy Smith. She was retired from Wells Aluminum and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoye D. Wright; three brothers, Joe Smith, Eddie Lee Smith and William Smith; four sisters, Mae Conger, Anna Roberts, Inez McDaniel and Minkie Davis; and a grandson, Joe Brooks.

Survivors include four sons, Charles Wright and wife Vickie of Moultrie, Bob Wright and wife Mary and Bill Wright, all of Norman Park and Jimmy Wright and wife Connie of Bay; a daughter, Betty Brooks and husband Danny of Norman Park; 17 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
