Annie Bell Ford Williams

MOULTRIE — Annie Bell Ford Williams, 70, of Moultrie died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, at Sinner Friend Baptist Church with the Rev. W.B. Sales officiating. Burial will follow at Sinner Friend Cemetery. Johnny Banks, Lucious Thomas, Johnny Williams, Paul Turner Jr., Freddie Drayton, James Wilcox, Tony Stevenson and Norman Williams will serve as pallbearers.

Born Dec. 31, 1935, in Terrell County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Bo and Viola Bateman Ford.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jasper Ford, Otis Ford and Simmie Ford; and a son, Morris L. Williams.

Survivors include two sons, Isaac J. Williams and wife Helen of Phoenix, Ariz., and Tony B. Williams and wife Miranda of Charlotte, N.C.; five daughters, Ann Drayton and husband Lewis of Sylvester, Doris Williams of Tallahassee, Holetha Rich and husband Charlie, Priscilla Williams, Faye Williams, all of Moultrie, and Willie Ford of Detroit, Mich.; three sisters, Clara Hurst and husband Earnest of Hopeful, Ga., Ola Mae Almond of Doerun and Willie Neal of Cleveland, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; John H. Williams Jr., the father of her children; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

William E. “Bill” Painter

NEW FREEDOM, Pa. — William E. “Bill” Painter, 67, of New Freedom, Pa., died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Grace United Methodist Church in New Freedom, Pa., with the Rev. Mitchell Hescox officiating. Entombment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hanover, Pa.

Born, June 6, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pa., Mr. Painter was the son of the late William H. “Bud” Painter and the late Dorothy Schade Painter. He was retired as vice president of sales from Mane, Inc., in Cincinnati, Ohio, following a career of more than 40 years of employment in the international flavor trade.

He was a graduate of Penn State University and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He had lived in Irwin, Pa., and Cincinnati areas prior to moving to York County, Pa., in 2001.

Survivors include his wife, Sarah Phyllis Barfield Painter of New Freedom, Pa.; a daughter, Kim Neugebauer of Spring Grove, Pa.; two grandchildren, Bobby Neugebauer and Jessica Neugebauer; and a sister, Allie Rittenhouse of Addison, Pa.

Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at the funeral home.

Kawanis P. Edwards

MOULTRIE — Kawanis P. Edwards, 35, of Moultrie died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2005, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Overcoming Faith Temple with the Rev. Robert Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at St. James Pallbearers Cemetery No. 2. MacArthur Green, Robert J. Edwards Jr., Antonio Edwards, Howard Edwards, Jackie McNeal and Eddie Edwards will serve as pallbearers.

Born March 21, 1970, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Edwards was the daughter of Robert J. Edwards and Delois K. Green.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Johnny B. King, Lillie P. King, Robert Edwards Sr. and Onnie Bell Edwards; and two brothers, Robert James Edwards III and Shon Mica King.

Survivors include her father, Robert J. Edwards Jr. of Moultrie; her mother, Delois Green and husband Clifford of Moultrie; a daughter, Shetierrenny Edwards; a son, Michael Edwards Jr.; a devoted friend, MIchael Edwards Sr.; a brother, Tyree King; a sister, Shetiva McNeal and husband Jackie; one stepsister, Tierra Green of Moultrie; nine uncles, Larry King, Lee Rogers DeBruce, Eddie Edwards, all of Moultrie, J.C. Edwards of South Korea, Howard Edwards of Macon, Antonio Edwards of Tampa, Kenneth Edwards of Moultrie, Luther Edwards of Hinesville, Ga., and Robert DeBruce of New York, N.Y.; 10 aunts, Johnnie Mae Tatum and husband Grant of Oakland, Calif., Hazel Jones, Mattie K. Thomas, Patricia King, Sharon King, Brenda Roseborough and husband Leslie, Jackie Jackson and husband Glen, Hope Edwards and husband Lee all of Moultrie, Kate Edwards of Valdosta, Minnie DeBruce of Akron, Ohio; three nieces; two nephews; and a host of cousins and friends.

Calvin Anderson

BECKLEY, W.Va. — Calvin Anderson, formerly of Moultrie, died Dec. 12, 2005, at Beckley V.A. Hospital.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but will be announced at a later date by Luke Strong and Son Mortuary.
