Tires slashed at apartment complex

MOULTRIE — A total of 11 vehicles were reported to have had their tires damaged by an unknown person at Northgate Apartments on Fourth Avenue Northeast Thursday night or Friday morning.
All of the incidents were reported to have taken place between 11:25 p.m. Thursday and 7:34 a.m. Friday.
Among those whose vehicle tires were damaged were:
– A Ford Fairlane, owned by James Ponder, had one tire slashed;
– An AMC Hornet, owned by William Kitchens, had two tires punctured;
– A GMC Suburban, owned by Daryl Irving, had one tire cut;
– An Oldsmobile Cutlass, owned by Nathan Douglas, had all four tires slashed;
– A Chevrolet Caprice, owned by Willie Frank Lewis, had three tires punctured;
– A trailer, owned by Yadullah Shourrahmati, had two tires cut;
– A Dodge Stratus, owned by Wayne Owens, had all four tires slashed;
– A Nissan Altima, owned by Shirley Williams, had all four tires cut;
– A Pontiac Bonneville, owned by Charlene Edwards, has all four tires slashed;
– A Pontiac Transport, owned by Ramon Duvergel, had all four tires cut, and;
– A Kia Sportage, owned by Anita Naylor, had two tires punctured.
None of the vehicles had any other damage done to them. All of the incidents are under investigation by the Moultrie Police Department.
Other incidents
– Ruth Helpingstine, of Ellenton-Omega Road, reported a female acquaintance stole miscellaneous items from her residence, including a DVD player, a VCR and pots and pans, between 3 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday. The total value of the stolen items was $1,000.
