For Sept.25
Still in denial
“Would I be happy if I had to drink tea instead of Coke? Moderation? Do you think I would jump up, go to another restaurant and write a rant because I couldn’t get a Coke? Still denying your problem, aren’t you?”
Reform needed
“People in Colquitt County are not very well educated. The school system needs total reform. Smaller classes and new schools are a start. For the people who are going to tell me that if I do not like the schools here move, well public schools should all be equal. Think about the children instead of football.”
Just a game
“Football is a game — people here need to realize it. Why don’t we focus on education instead of being Class 5A. Here is an idea, let’s build another high school and then we could have our own rivalry here in Colquitt County. More attention would be paid to all children, which is what this county needs. Test scores are pathetic and most of our kids have to take remedial courses if they even go to college. Is 5A Football so important that we are robbing our children of the chance to get a decent education? Wake up, Colquitt County.”
What’s best for us
“Tax breaks are not why Bush wants Saddam out. In case you didn’t notice, he is a very dangerous man who has gassed his own people. What do you think he would do with nukes if he had them? You are worried about getting into another war. President Bush is doing what he thinks is in the best interest of this country and we should support him no matter what. God Bless him and the USA!”
Self-expression
“To all those people who have a problem with the way kids dress. This is self-expression! If you can remember that far, think of how you dressed in your respective generation. Bad huh? Why cant you just let kids be kids? Complaining will not make anything better. In fact, that is just the result that they crave, a shock.”
Car seats
“When a child is under 80 pounds it should be in a car seat or booster seat. I’m tired of seeing parents riding with their 1 year old in their lap.”
What I see
“I work in a popular store in Moultrie, I am so sick/upset at seeing the parents that come in the store and treat their kids like dogs. You don’t drag the kids around by the arm, punch/slap/kick the kids. It seems like I am the only one with sense enough to see this.”
What’s wrong
“The work, knowledge, judgment, and experience of Mr. Thomas Edison lights your entire planet every night, but today’s government schools and teacher’s union would call Mr. Edison ‘uncertified’ and ‘unqualified’ to teach. That is what is wrong with today’s education industry in America.”
Obnoxious
“There’s nothing more obnoxious than a reformed alcoholic who assumes that you are one also.”
