Ophelia Siniard Yarbrough Rodgers

MOULTRIE — Ophelia Siniard Yarbrough Rodgers, 83, of Moultrie, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at Brownwood Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 28, at Murphy Cemetery, with the Rev. Claude Richardson officiating. Pallbearers will be Danny Yarbrough, Richard Yarbrough, Olen Yarbrough, Jesse Yarbrough, Mark Mitchell, Rodney Russell and Billy Welch.
Born Nov. 28, 1917, in Bartow County, Mrs. Rodgers was the daughter of the late Jennie Estelle Wyatt Siniard and George Washington Siniard. She was retired from Wells Aluminum and a member of Midway Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Fred A. Yarbrough and James Wesley Rodgers.
Survivors include sons, Jimmie Yarbrough and wife Virginia and Melvin Yarbrough and wife Sue, all of Moultrie; a brother, James Siniard of Dallas; a sister, Lucille Sloan of Moultrie; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

David Jordan
MOULTRIE — David Jordan, 64, of Moultrie, died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at Cobblestone.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, at Friendship Baptist Church in Bluffton, with the Rev. Ellis Gudes Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Bluffton, Ga. Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.
Born Sept. 30, 1936, in Clay County, Mr. Jordan was the son of the late Willie Jack Jordan and Mary Lizzie Pitters. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mattie Lee Jordan, and a brother, John Henry Jordan Sr.
Survivors include daughters, Betty Jean Turner (Paul) of Moultrie and Tammy Jordan of Columbus; a brother, Milton Carr Sr. (Sally) of Moultrie; sisters, Elnora Jordan and Sammie Pearl Jordan, both of Detroit, Mich.; sisters-in-law, Ruby Pearl Jordan of Moultrie, Alice Davis of Tampa, Fla., Katherine James of Dorchester, Mass., and Aileen McTear of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers-in-law, Emmitt Davis (Rose) and Hubert Davis (Cora), all of Tampa, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday at Macedonia Baptist Church.
