Joe King
TECUMSEH, Okla. — Joe King, 59, of Tecumseh, Okla., died Saturday, July 23, 2005, at Dorminey Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Ga.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 25, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with Bro. Charlie Wilson and Bro. Andrew Jordan officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. in Westview Cemetery in Moultrie. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, July 24, at the funeral home.
Mr. King was born June 16, 1946, in Colquitt County to the late Joseph Emery King and Geraldine Jackson King. He was a 1965 graduate of Moultrie High School. A retired veteran of the U.S. Army with more than 20 years of service, Mr. King served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was co-owner of J. and J. Riding Ranch in Shawnee, Okla. He was also associated with Quality Hardware in Tecumseh, Okla. Mr. King was a resident of Tecumseh for 20 years and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by two daughters, Cissy King Kerns of Gainesville, Ga., and Jennifer King Berra of Oklahoma City, Okla.; his mother, Jeri King of Fitzgerald; two grandchildren, Zachery and Delaney Berra of Oklahoma City; and one sister, Sue (Ken) McDearmid of Fitzgerald.
The family asks memorials be sent to the Coastal Plain Chapter of the American Red Cross, 213 E. Eighth St., Tifton, GA 31794.

MOULTRIE — Blanca Estella Rivera Hernandez, 36, died Saturday, July 23, 2005, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Cobb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Vivian Cantrell
TIFTON — Vivian Brazel Cantrell, 78, of Tifton, formerly of Fort Gaines and Newnan, died Saturday, July 23, 2005, at her residence in Tifton.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, at Tift Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Walter Flint officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors — Tiftarea Chapel.
Mrs. Cantrell was born Dec. 20, 1926, in Colquitt County to John Henry Brazel and Cora Bell Parker Brazel, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Daniel D. Cantrell; one daughter, Louanne Cantrell Bishop; and two brothers.
Mrs. Cantrell had recently moved back to Tifton after having lived in Fort Gaines and Newnan. She had been the office manager for her late husband’s practice, Cantrell Chiropractic in Tifton. She was a member of Fort Gaines Presbyterian Church and a former member of Northside Baptist Church of Tifton. She loved living on Lake Walter F. George in Fort Gaines. She enjoyed reading and was a former member of Springhill Country Club.
Surviving Mrs. Cantrell are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Danny and Janet Cantrell of Newnan and Tommy Cantrell of Tifton; two brothers, Talmadge Brazel of Moultrie and Reese Brazel of Sale City; three sisters, Henrybelle Smith of Charleston, S.C., Rachel Cowsert of Austin, Texas, and Syvil Anderson of Orange Park, Fla.; three grandchildren, Katie and Kelli Cantrell of Newnan and Daniel Cantrell of Kentucky; one great-grandchild, Jazzman Cantrell of Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
