MOULTRIE — Rosa Lee Cook, 85, of Moultrie died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Magnolia Manor South Nursing Home.

Arrangements will be announced by Luke Strong and Son Mortuary.



L. Estelle Griffin Baker

SALE CITY — L. Estelle Griffin Baker, 75, of Sale City died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 8, at Hinsonton Baptist Church with the Rev. Jacob King and the Rev. Howard Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memory Gardens in Moultrie. Active pallbearers will be Dawson Autry, Louis Autry, Charles Davis, Joe McGalliard, Hank Autry, Joe B. Glenn and the deacons of Hinsonton Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Angie and Scott Peterson, Russ and Heather Joiner, Melissa and Clay Gossett, Keith Baker, Rachel Baker, Kayla Baker, Keith Harrell and Allison Harrell.

Born Jan. 4, 1930, in Thomas County, Mrs. Baker was the daughter of the late John William Griffin and the late Nettie Clair Parmer Griffin. She was a homemaker and a member of Hinsonton Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Edwin E. Baker of Sale City; a daughter, Sue Harrell and husband David of Thomasville; a son, John Baker and wife Lisa of Sale City; eight grandchildren, Angie Peterson, Russ Joiner, Melissa Gossett, Keith Baker, Rachel Baker, Keith Harrell, Kayla Baker and Allison Harrell; six great-grandchildren, Miranda Wilson, Andrew Peterson, Caleb Joiner, Tommy Gossett, Kacey Gossett and Lacey Gossett; and two sisters, Margaret Anderson of Meigs and Odessa Dollar of Ochlocknee.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at Braswell Funeral Home in Pelham.

Braswell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.



Gay Lynn Langston Morton

MOULTRIE — Gay Lynn Langston Morton, 36, of Moultrie died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.

Graveside rites will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 7, at Reedy Creek Cemetery with Andy Jordan officiating.

Born Aug. 31, 1968, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Langston was the daughter of Linda Gay Langston and Bobby Langston. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Howard Morton of Moultrie; her parents, Linda Gay Langston and Bobby Langston of Moultrie; two sons, Michael Brown and Matthew Brown, both of Moultrie; two stepchildren, Eric Morton and April Morton, both of Moultrie; a brother, Bo Langston and wife Kay of Fitzgerald; a sister, Lea Langston Meeks and husband Heath of Fitzgerald; and three nephews, Shannon Holt, Chris Holt and Gregory Langston, all of Fitzgerald.

Vistation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral chapel.
