Fannie Bell Mann
MOULTRIE — Fannie Bell Mann, 95, of Moultrie died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, at Cobblestone Nursing Home in Moultrie.
Funeral services will 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home. Interment services will be held at a later date in Garden Hill Cemetery in Opelika, Ala.
Survivors include two brothers, Harvey Ford of Berlin and Howard Clellan Ford of Olympia, Wash.; three sisters, Winnie Staines of Camilla, Bernice Calhoun of Berlin and Eunice Cox and husband Joe B. of Moultrie.
Visitation will be 2 to 3 p.m., one hour prior to funeral services at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home.
Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ruby Jane Davis Brooks
DOERUN — Ruby Jane Davis Brooks, 93, of Doerun died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, at her daughter’s residence in Moultrie.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Shiver and the Rev. Robin Chaplin officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery with Dale Holloway, Ricky Shirah, Dale Nicholson, Donald Brooks, Ken Brooks, Keith Shirah and Alan Norman serving as pallbearers.
Born July 9, 1912, in Worth County, she was the daughter of the late Lucresia Pope Davis and the late Jeremiah Wheeler Davis.
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Watson Brooks; son, Carroll Brooks; sister, Mae Gunn; brothers, Johnny Davis, Emory Davis and Elzie Davis; and a grandson, Gary Fritz Holloway.
Survivors include sons, Bobby Brooks and wife Reba of Moultrie and Billy Brooks and wife Teeny of Albany; daughters, Helen Holloway of Moultrie, Doris Shirah of Lakeland, Fla., Christine Norman and husband Ray of Moultrie and Patricia Bell and husband J.C. of Doerun; sister Lois Self of Brunswick; stepsisters, Edna Brooks of Tifton and Ethel Westbrook of Omega; 23 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and 28 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Gary Hancock
ADEL — Gary Hancock, 76, of Adel died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, at his residence after battling a long illness.
He was born on Jan. 1, 1929, in Adel to the late Julian and Leila Hayes Hancock. He attended grammar and high school in Adel. He joined the United States Army and served for 11 years from 1948 to 1959 as a sergeant first class. Two of the service years were served during the Korean War and Cold War in Frankfurt, Germany. On June 14, 1950, he married Ruby Sylvania Gooch of Ellijay, Ga.
In 1960, he owned a country grocery store, the Alpha Service Center, where he served the Alpha Community. In 1963, he chose a different profession — farming. He started the first Georgia catfish farm in 1967 and he and his family were the State of Georgia FFA Farm Family of the Year in 1972. He was very active in campaigning for the Democratic Party. He served as a member of the Adel Masonic Lodge No. 310 for 45 years and was a Shriner. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He was a member of Springhead Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby G. Hancock of Adel; one son, Gary Michael “Mickey” Hancock of Valdosta; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cynthia and Bubba Harrison of Tifton and Crystal H. Tillman of Adel; one brother, Billy J. Hancock of Adel; one sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Frank Lynch of Bradford, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Slade and Braunda Ensley of San Angelo, Texas, Leah Ensley of Destin, Fla., Michelle and John Stone of Lakeland, Ga., Abby Hancock of Valdosta, LaRae McDaniel of Adel, Keith Tillman II of Adel, Trip Harrison of Albany and Allison Harrison of Brooklyn, N.Y.; six great-grandchildren, Hunter, Lane and Hayden Ensley of San Angelo, Texas, Lindsay and John Michael Stone of Lakeland, Ga., Madison McDaniel of Adel and Drew and Kalieann Harrison of Albany.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Springhead Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Lawrence and the Rev. Ed Godwin officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with military and Masonic rites. The family will receive friends this evening from 5 to 8 p.m. at Boone-Lipsey Funeral Home Hwy. 41 South. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Springhead Baptist Church.
Roseta Daniels
MOULTRIE — Roseta Daniels, 32, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Arrangements will be announced by Luke Strong and Son Mortuary.
Geraltine Cooper Knight
MOULTRIE — Geraltine Cooper Knight, 76, of Moultrie died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, at The Woodlands Living Center in Moultrie.
The funeral will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 25, at the New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dion Brown, Pastor Curt McCollough, David Loyd and the Rev. Jesse Alligood officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Grove Cemetery with Rodney Cooper, Austin Hiers, Hiram Walker and Jimmy Jackson serving as pallbearers.
She was born Feb. 2, 1929, in Thomas County to the late Reva Loyd Cooper and the late Cliford Cooper. She worked for the Army in a Civil Service capacity and was a member of Eastern Star Chapter 399, Border Jumpers R.V. Club and the New Bethel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Lawton Knight.
Survivors include her son, Vance Luke and his wife Donna of Tallahassee; daughter, Sharon Driver and her husband Clifton of Elko, Ga.; brothers, Joseph Cooper and wife Ellen and Carroll Cooper and wife Shirley, all of Moultrie; three grandchildren, Amanda Driver Coody and husband Jordan, Alex Driver, and Tammy Wooten; one great-grandchild, Langley Rose Wooten; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 7 to 9 Monday evening at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Cobb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
