Donald Marcus Chapman Sr.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Donald Marcus Chapman Sr., 63, of Jacksonville, Fla., died Thursday, April 25, 2002, at his residence.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home with Dr. Ed Kirkland officiating. Burial will be in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Elder Henri Daniel will officiate.

Born Jan. 24, 1939, in Worth County, Mr. Chapman was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Chapman. He was a risk manager for the Jacksonville Transportation Authority and was a member of San Jose Baptist Church. Mr. Chapman served in the United States Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emily Juanita Henry Chapman of Jacksonville, Fla.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Chapman of Doerun; two sons, Donald M. Chapman Jr. and wife Jennifer of Jacksonville, Fla., and Glen Chapman and wife Debbie of Orange Park, Fla.; a sister, Margaret Traylor and husband Dickie of Moultrie; a brother, Robert Alford Chapman of Sandersville; three grandchildren, Julie, Marcus and Bryan; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home in Jacksonville.

Memorials may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.

Cobb Funeral Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

MOULTRIE — Royce Bowles, 86, of Moultrie died Thursday, April 25, 2002, at Emory Hospital in Atlanta.

Arrangements will be announced by Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home.



Ms. Idella Tukes

DOERUN — Ms. Idella Tukes, 87, of Doerun died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home.

Arrangements will be announced by Luke Strong and Son Mortuary.
