Nathalee M. Allen
MOULTRIE — Nathalee M. Allen, 88, of Forest Apartments, died Saturday, May 8, 2004, at Bethany Nursing Center in Vidalia.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday, May 10, at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home with burial in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. The Rev. Kenneth D. Murphy and the Rev. Terry Webb will officiate.
Mrs. Allen was born Sept. 17, 1915, in Colquitt County to Henry Iverson Murphy and Mattie M. Murphy. She was a cook in the Colquitt County School System and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie C. Allen; a brother, Douglas Murphy; and a grandson, Phillip C. Murphy.
Survivors include two sons, C. Irvin Murphy and wife Dorothy of Lyons and Wayne Allen and wife Beverly of Dothan, Ala.; one brother, Rufus Murphy of Moultrie; three grandchildren, Kenneth D. Murphy, Sharon Crumpton and Ashley Allen; and five great-grandchildren, Jonathan Murphy, Ashley Murphy, Chane Crumpton, Casey Crumpton and Mallory Allen.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Melissa Sue Boyd Gilliard
PAVO — Melissa Sue Boyd Gilliard, 22, of 381 Harris St., Pavo, died Thursday, May 6, 2004, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Graveside rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 10, at Pine Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Steve McCloud officiating.
Mrs. Gilliard was born Oct. 18, 1981, in Colquitt County to Glenda Sue Boyd and William Boyd. She was a homemaker and was of the Assembly of God faith.
Survivors include her husband, Anthony Joseph Gilliard of Pavo; her parents, Glenda Sue Boyd and William Boyd; one son, Matthew Lee Gilliard of Pavo; a brother, Billy Boyd and wife Ginger of Hartsfield; and two special friends, Marge Martin and Wayne Hart.
Visitation will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. today, May 9, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
