Doris Geneva Earwood Worrell

MOULTRIE — Doris Geneva Earwood Worrell, 72, of 2400 Second Ave. S.E., Moultrie, died Friday, July 2, 2004, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 5, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with graveside rites at 3 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Berrien County. The Rev. Jackie Cabaniss will officiate.

Mrs. Worrell was born Nov. 15, 1931, in Cartersville, Bartow County, Ga., to the late Dora Bell Earwood and the late Vernon Lee Earwood. She was a caregiver for the elderly and a Baptist.

She is survived by a brother, Charles Wyman Earwood, and a sister, Betty Faye Barrett, both of Moultrie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Emma Jean Borders.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, July 5, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Cobb Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.



Michael R. Booth

WEST CHESTER, Pa. — Michael R. Booth, 38, of West Chester, Pa., died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha Norman Booth, formerly of Norman Park, Ga.

Born on May 12, 1966, in the Republic of the Philippines, he was the son of Bob and Annette Cooper Booth, both of Moultrie, Ga.

He worked for Mars Inc. as an advanced resolution technician.

Mr. Booth loved the time he spent teaching the children to swim at the Moultrie YMCA. He earned two bachelor’s degrees from Valdosta State University and was a member of Evelyn United Methodist Church of Moultrie.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a brother, Christopher M. Booth of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Theresa M. Booth of San Antonio; his in-laws, Benny and Carolyn Norman of Norman Park; and nieces, Morgan, Brooke, Hanna and Sierra, all from Norman Park.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 9, at Evelyn United Methodist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Evelyn United Methodist Church Building Fund, in care of Reggie Holden, 1307 Perry Road, Moultrie, GA 31788.
