Carroll Marvin Casteel

MOULTRIE — Carroll Marvin Casteel, 60, of Moultrie died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003, at his residence.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. Michael Helms and the Rev. Gene Sheffield officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Christie, Larry Murphy, Gary Murphy, Kyle Weeks, Bruce Phelps and Don Nicholson.

Born Oct. 14, 1942, in Colquitt County, Mr. Casteel was the son of Hazel Weeks Casteel and the late Marvin Edward Casteel. He was the retired owner/operator of Central Pawn Shop. Mr. Casteel was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Pennie Layton Casteel of Moultrie; his mother, Hazel Weeks Casteel of Moultrie; a daughter, Emily Elizabeth Casteel of Moultrie; and a brother, Roger Casteel of Sylvester.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral chapel.

The family may be contacted at the home of Pennie Casteel, 403 Seminole Drive, Moultrie.

Rosie Beth Kierce Sellers

NORMAN PARK — Rosie Beth Kierce Sellers, 90, of 5213 U.S. Highway 319, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2003, at Magnolia Manor South.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charles Odom officiating. Burial will be at Zion Grove Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Sellers was born May 17, 1913, in Worth County to the late Emma Fulghum Kierce and the late Charlie Kierce. She was a homemaker and a member of Christian Life Center Assembly of God.

She is survived by her second husband, Fred Robert Sellers; two sons, Sanford Davis and wife Annette of Norman Park and Lanford Davis of Albany; two daughters, Betty Nadine Lamb and husband Gene of Norman Park and Ellen Carlton and husband Curtis of Albany; six stepchildren, James Sellers, Hayward Sellers, H.D. Sellers, Nadine Bryant and Erma Jean Sheffield, all of Moultrie, and Matrah Weeks of Mississippi; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, George Washington Davis.

Visitation will be 7-9 tonight, Oct. 8, at Cobb Funeral Chapel. The family may be contacted at the home of Betty and Gene Lamb, 5213 U.S. Highway 319 North, Norman Park.
