Freddie L. Williams

LITHONIA — Mr. Freddie L. Williams, 53, of Lithonia died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at his residence.

Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at Luke Strong and Son Mortuary Chapel with Elder Early Temmer officiating. Burial will be held at Bailey Chapel Cemetery in Doerun. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Born Feb. 24, 1951, in Ware County, Mr. Williams was the son of the late Alfred and Catherine Morgan Williams.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eldora Atkins Williams.

Survivors include one son, Frederick L. Lee of Waycross; two daughters, Matilda Lee and Catherine Lee, both of Waycross; two sisters, Patricia Moye and husband John of Moultrie and Joyce Davis of Waycross; two uncles, John Williams and wife Barbara of Milton, Fla., and Charles Morgan of Macon; five aunts, Hattie Gordon of Doerun, Beatrice Walker of Moultrie, Mable Upshaw of Miami, Fla., Elizabeth Tindle of Milton and Lucy Powell of Waycross; one grandchild; close friends, Angela Griffin of Lithonia, Pearl Williams and Mary Williams, both of Moultrie, Thomas King of Doerun, Carl Davis and Isaac Bing, both of Waycross, and Tina Cohen of Covington; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family may be contacted at the residence of Mrs. Hattie Gordon, 215 Jones St., Doerun.

Ollie Godfrey

DOERUN — Mr. Ollie Godfrey, 71, of Doerun died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24, at Mitchell Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Morris Pittman officiating. Burial will be held at Bailey Chapel Cemetery in Doerun. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Born July 23, 1932, in Colquitt County, Mr. Godfrey was the son of the late Jeff and Mattie Johnson Godfrey.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gladys Richardson Godfrey; two brothers, James Godfrey and Leroy Godfrey; and one sister, Mary Hill.

Survivors include three brothers, Henry Godfrey and wife Lillie B. of Funston, Eugene Godfrey of Doerun and Charlie Godfrey of Barton, Fla.; four sisters, Beretha Nixon and Eva Dell Richardson, both of Doerun, Evelena Cheatham of Albany and Minnie Riggins of Springfield, Ohio; a devoted friend, Carolyn Shelton of Doerun; and a godson, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Wesley Dallon Herrington

FUNSTON — Wesley Dallon Herrington, 17, of Funston died Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Tallahassee Regional Medical Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Cobb Funeral Chapel.
