MOULTRIE — George McHan of Moultrie died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta.

Arrangements will be announced by Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home.



James Dauphin

MOULTRIE — James Dauphin of Moultrie died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Archbold Medical Center.

Arrangements will be announced by Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home.



Ilene Haynes

MOULTRIE — Ilene Haynes, 42, of Moultrie died Saturday, March 9, 2003, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with the Rev. David Worthy officiating. Burial will be in St. James Pallbearers Cemetery No. 2. Friends of the family will serve as pallbearers.

Born Aug. 20, 1960, in Thomas County, Ms. Haynes was the daughter of the late Tommy Haynes and Betty Worthy Haynes. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a devoted friend, Jerry Madison of Moultrie; one son, Robert Haynes of Ft. Hood, Texas; two daughters, Mona Brown of Moultrie and Kenshuna Spicer of Albany; a brother, Tommy Haynes III and Rose Bennett of Moultrie; seven sisters, Delois Griffin and husband John, Patricia Edwards and husband Johnny, Sylvia Johns and husband Winford, Lisa Richardson and husband Terry, all of Pelham, Maxine Johnson and husband Scrap, Tammy Trimble and husband James Sr. and Ramonia Thornton and husband Quincy, all of Moultrie; a special friend, Lottie Johnson of Pelham; two grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

Lessie Mae Boyd Weldon

PAVO — Lessie Mae Boyd Weldon, 67, of Pavo died Monday, March 10, 2003, at her residence.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 14, in Campground United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Irions officiating. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery.

Born in Early County, Mrs. Weldon was the daughter of the late Leon and Rosa Mae Worlds Boyd. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elzie Weldon; two sons, Greg Weldon and Randy Weldon; a daughter, Ruby Weldon; and several infants.

Survivors include six sons, Dennie (Willie Mae) Weldon of Pavo, Jimmy (Frances) Weldon of Quitman, Lester (Melinda) Weldon of West Covina, Calif., Frank (Wilma) Weldon of Pavo, Mark (Selina) Weldon of Pavo and Russell Weldon of Thomasville; three daughters, Mickey (Bernice) George-Phillips of Jasper, Fla., Jane (Kenneth) Childers of Pavo and Norma Jean Childers of Calhoun; 30 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kathleen “Kat” Bailey of Moultrie.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Therese Marie Salter

ST. GEORGE, Utah — Therese Marie Salter, 43, of Las Vegas, died Sunday, March 9, 2003, in St. George, Utah.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, at Palm Mortuary.

Born Feb. 1, 1960, in Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Salter was the daughter of Louise Meyers and the late Elmer Meyers. She married Charles L. Salter on Nov. 2, 1991, in Las Vegas, Nev.

She was an ambassador and an active member of the Southern Nevada Harley Owners Group. She was instrumental in fundraising for various charities. She had attended the Community College of Southern Nevada and was co-owner of the Master Handyman Service and Las Vegas Stone Care, Inc. Therese was blessed with many friends and touched the hearts of many more and through them her spirit will live on.

Survivors include her husband Chuck and son Charles Ashley, both of Las Vegas; her mother, Louise Myers of Tucson, Ariz.; and brothers, Michael of Omaha, Neb. and Joe of Tucson, Ariz.

Memorials may be made to the Economic Opportunity Board, 522 West Washington, Las Vegas, Nev. 89106.

Palm Mortuary in Henderson, Nev. was in charge of arrangements.



Hazel Irene Porter Foster

MOULTRIE — Hazel Irene Porter Foster, 71, of Moultrie died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Graveside rites will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 14, at Westview Cemetery with the Revs. Pleais Hampton and J.E. Moak officiating.

Born Oct. 23, 1931, in Worth County, Mrs. Foster was the daughter of the late Maggie Hartsfield Porter and Warren Porter. She was a homemaker and a member of First Church of Nazarene.

Survivors include her husband, Earl Foster of Moultrie; a son, Randy Foster of Moultrie; a daughter, Diane Foster Lanier of Moultrie; three brothers, Robert Porter of Tifton, Leo Porter and Buddy Porter, both of Moultrie; a sister, Margie Tate of Warner Robins; five grandchildren, Nikki Wilson, Lacey Lanier, Michael Mercer, Landon Lanier and Rachael Foster; and two great-grandchildren, Tanner Wilson and Noah Mercer.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral chapel.

The family may be contacted at the home of Randy and LaDene Foster, 140 Tallokas Circle, Moultrie.
