James C. Willingham Jr.

VALDOSTA — James C. Willingham Jr., 60, of Valdosta, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Tifton and had lived in Moultrie for most of his life. He had been living in Valdosta for the past several months. He was an avid coon hunter.

He was preceded in death by his father, James C. Willingham Sr., and his daughter, Donna Bellamy.

Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Curtis and Laquita Willingham of Valdosta, and Stacey Willingham and Anthony Willingham, both of Moultrie; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ginger and Lance Parson of Quitman and Michelle and Jimmy McMullen of Moultrie; two stepsons, Marty Dismuke of Moultrie and Wayne Dismuke of Leesburg; his mother, Allie Mae Willingham of Moultrie; one brother, Coy Willingham of Moultrie; one sister, Teresa Cannady of Moultrie; grandchildren, Jessica Willingham, Bryan Smith, Darrell Dennis, Jerry Wilson, Kamryn McMullen, Jena Lynn McMullen, Tyler Dismuke, Christen and Jonathon Dismuke, Ashley Homan, Lancy Parson, James Parson, Cody Willingham, Dallas Willingham and Christy Ogletree; two great-grandchildren, James and Daniel Ogletree; and a special friend, Louise Willingham.

Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, at Copeland Cemetery in Valdosta. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. today, Feb. 17, at the funeral home.

Music Funeral Services of Valdosta is serving the Willingham family.



Junior Murry

MOULTRIE — Junior Murry of Moultrie died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at Brownwood Nursing Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but will be announced at a later date by Luke Strong and Son Mortuary Inc.



Charles Henry Cannon III

MOULTRIE — Charles Henry Cannon III, 53, of 284 Cannon Road, Moultrie, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, in Moultrie.

Private graveside rites will be held at Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Wills officiating, assisted by Jimmy Jeter. Pallbearers will be Ray Gene Hall, William L. Pippin III, Brooks Sheldon, Jimmy Jeter, William L. Pippin Jr., Jay Cranford, Roger Budd, Fred H. Beaty and H. Coleman Jackson III.

A public memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Cannon was born Dec. 16, 1948, in Savannah to the late Charles H. and the late Martha Cannon. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Georgia Military Academy and the University of Georgia. He was a member of the Moultrie Rotary Club.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Ann Brown Cannon of Moultrie; one son, Charles Henry Cannon IV of Moultrie; and one daughter, Carrie Brown Cannon of Moultrie.

Dolley Gooding DuBois Graham

BARNEY — Dolley Gooding DuBois Graham, 77, of 15284 Moultrie Highway, Barney, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, at Friendship Baptist Church in Barney with Gordon Pittman officiating. Burial will be at Campground Cemetery in Morven. Pallbearers will be Lane Wiseman, Shawn Wiseman, Jeffery Tillman, Ricky Walker, John Burton and Felix Burton.

Mrs. Graham was born Aug. 16, 1924, in Orlando, Fla., to the late Eva Dolley Patch Gooding and the late Michael Patrick Gooding. She was church secretary at First Baptist Church, Fernandina Beach, Fla., and she was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Barney.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Graham; one son, Wayne DuBois of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; three daughters, Kathy DuBois Hampton of Fernandina Beach, Lucile Wiseman of Orlando, Fla., and Mary Graham Church of Moultrie; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Friendship Baptist Church of Barney Missions or your favorite charity.

Fay Sikes Conner

WAYCROSS — Fay Sikes Conner, 88, of Baptist Village Retirement Community, Waycross, died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2002, at her residence.

Funeral services wil





l be held at 3:30 p.m. today, Feb. 17, at Trinity Baptist Church, DeLoache Chapel. The Rev. John Gibbs and Dr. Michael Helms will officiate. Burial will be at 5 p.m. today at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Tifton.

Pallbearers will be David Gibbs, Bill Wells, Kevin Conner, Wes Conner and Wally Summers. Honorary casketbearers will be the Plus 55 group of Trinity Baptist Church.

Mrs. Conner was born Sept. 1, 1913, in Ty Ty. She was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church, Moultrie, where she taught Sunday school and had served on several committees. She has been a member of the Women’s Federated Guild and the Cherokee Garden Club. She was employed at Moultrie National Bank for many years until her retirement in 1979.

Survivors include a son, Neal L. Conner Jr. and wife Ruthie Conner of Waycross; three grandchildren, Wesley N. Conner of Smyrna and Kevin L. Conner and Erin Conner, both of Athens; nephews, John Gibbs and Bill Wells, both of Tifton; nieces, Lynette Conner of Moultrie and Brenda Summers of Americus; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation is from 3 to 3:30 p.m. today at Trinity Baptist Church DeLoache Chapel.
