Roscoe William Tucker

MOULTRIE — Roscoe William Tucker, 78, of Moultrie, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at Heritage Oaks of Tallahassee, Fla.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Preston Norman and J.P. Wood officiating. Burial will be in Funston Cemetery. His grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The D.A.V. will present graveside military honors.

Born March 31, 1923, in Colquitt County, Mr. Tucker was the son of the late Bessie Rebecca Hunnicutt Tucker and George Washington Tucker. He was a retired supervisor with the Marine Corp Logistics Base in Albany and was a member of Pine View Baptist Church. Mr. Tucker was past-Master of Moultrie Masonic Lodge 381 and was a Shriner. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Genell May Tucker of Moultrie; sons, William R. Tucker and wife Dianne of Tallahassee, Fla., James L. Tucker and wife Kathleen of Bronwood, David Tucker and wife Gabrielle of Dover, Tenn., Edward M. Tucker and wife Dorene of Lusby, Md.; a daughter, Lisa Ann T. Plunkett and husband Nolan of Pensacola, Fla.; a brother, George Darrell Tucker of Moultrie; a sister, Doris T. Martin of Moultrie; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Annie Lou Vickers Mercer

MOULTRIE — Annie Lou Vickers Mercer, 91, of Moultrie, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at Brownwood Nursing Home.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Griner and her grandchildren officiating. Burial will be in Deep Bottom Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Mercer, Bill Meister, Brett Jones, James Cato, Ricky Mercer, Timmy Norman, Bobby Coffield, Jim Stanfield, Allen Rowland, Jeff Bridges, Jody Bozeman and Dale Roberts.

Born May 22, 1910, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Mercer was the daughter of the late Rosa Kinard Vickers and Henry Sumner Wincook Vickers. She was a homemaker and was the oldest member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Mercer, and a grandson, Chris Mercer.

Survivors include sons, David Max Mercer and wife, Barbara, Charles Henry Mercer, Isaac Felton Mercer and wife Janice, all of Norman Park; a daughter, Dilly Regenia Rowland and husband Pete of Norman Park; a sister, Margie Daughtry of Tifton; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

The family may be contacted at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Rowland, 4042 Cool Springs Road, Norman Park.

Georgia Parramore Ansley

PAVO — Georgia Parramore Ansley, 72, of Pavo died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta.

Services will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Pavo.

Born July 21, 1929, in Brooks County, Mrs. Ansley was a dairy worker at Parramore Dairy in Thomasville and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Dorsey Ansley, and a daughter, Frankie Sue Ansley..

Survivors include sons, Bennie Ansley of Camilla, Don Ansley of Reidsville, Shelby Ansley of Pavo and Bill Ansley Jr. of Coolidge; daughters, Glenda A. Dean and Brenda A. Pollock, both of Pavo; 17 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

MOULTRIE — Guy Eaton, 80, of Moultrie, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2002, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. –Helen G. Voss, 85, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of M





oultrie, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2002, at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernard F. Voss.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Grose and husband Bob of Moultrie; her son, Fred Voss and wife Debbie; daughters, Vicki Thompson and husband David, Boo Bertoli and husband Kevin, Sally Kay Glenn and husband Michael; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister; and a brother.

Mrs. Jane Rainaud Pidcock

SAVANNAH — Mrs. Jane Rainaud Pidcock, 83, of Savannah, formerly of Moultrie, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2002, at her residence.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, at Bonaventure Cemetery.

Mrs. Pidcock was preceded in death by her husbands Ean Hunting Jr. and John Faulks Pidcock.
