Eddie Anderson

MOULTRIE — Eddie Anderson, 78, of 1318 W. Central Ave., died Sunday, July 4, 2004, at his residence.

The service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, at Greater Newton Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. C.L. Ponder Jr. officiating and the Rev. C.L. Ponder III assisting. Burial will follow at St. James Pallbearers Cemetery No. 2. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Anderson was born April 3, 1926, the son of the late Willie Anderson and Minnie Lee Rogers Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Johnnie Dell Lambert; one son, Paul Kenneth Anderson; one brother, Emmitt Anderson; and one daughter-in-law, Mary Anderson.

Survivors include two sons, Calvin Anderson and Bessie of Beckley, W.Va., and Andrew Anderson of Moultrie; seven daughters, Elaine Smith, Angela Moore and Richard, all of Moultrie, Jean Martin, Ruthie Clinton, Linda Anderson, Sandra Green and Darryl, and Cynthia Gardner, all of Springfield, Mass.; one brother, Lonnie Anderson of Newark, N.J.; three sisters, Essie Ponder Keith of Moultrie, Arceola Daniels of Irvington, N.J., and Ruby J. Brown of Newark, N.J.; one brother-in-law, Ed Marshall of Moultrie; two sisters-in-law, Ada L. Anderson of Springfield, Mass., and Lucille Lambert of Sewell, N.J.; 28 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Luke Strong and Son Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.



James Arthur MacDonald

MOULTRIE — James Arthur MacDonald, 60, of Moultrie died Thursday, July 8, 2004, at Raulerson Hospital in Okeechobee, Fla.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Dean MacDonald of Moultrie; daughter, Amanda (Ryan) Burkhalter of Statesboro; stepdaughter, Brittany Sirmons of Moultrie; stepsons, Terry (Joyce) Hall and Rusty (Christie) Hall of Moultrie; sister, Barbara (Bill) Becker of Denver, Colo.; brother, Jerry MacDonald of Calgary, Alberta; and other relatives.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Buxton Funeral Home and Crematory in Okeechobee, Fla.
