Geneva Hunter O’Neal
MOULTRIE — Mrs. Geneva Hunter O’Neal, 83, of Moultrie died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, in Doerun.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Roger Benton officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Jerry Corbin, Clyde Harrell, Donnie Haskins, Bubba Turpen, Troy O’Neal Jr. and Lance Corbin. Honorary casketbearers will be Bob Wickham, Johnny Shiver, Jimmy Davis and Buddy Free.
Born Sept. 22, 1920, in Dooly County, Mrs. O’Neal was the daughter of the late Caldonia Welch Hunter and John Starke Hunter Sr. She was retired from Warner’s and Universal Forest Products. Mrs. O’Neal was a member of First Baptist Church in Moultrie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. O’Neal, and her son, Troy L. O’Neal Sr.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda O. Corbin of Moultrie, Linda O. Wilkes of Doerun and Pat O. Goodlett of Tyler, Texas; her brother, J.S. Hunter of Belmont, Va.; nine grandchildren, Susan O. Crosby, Nancy O’Neal, Troy O’Neal Jr., Terri Corbin Roberts, Lance Corbin, Wendy Turpen Sarabia, Richard “Bubba” Turpen, Todd Wilkes and Ted Wilkes; nine great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Elouise Griffin O’Neal.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the funeral chapel.

Clyde Colson Isom Sr.
MOULTRIE — Mr. Clyde Colson Isom Sr., 95, of Moultrie died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Graveside rites will be at 11 a.m. today at Westview Cemetery with Teresa Newell and the Rev. Joe Smith officiating.
Born Feb. 19, 1909, in Colquitt County, Mr. Isom was the son of the late Eleanor Reddick Isom and Charles William Isom Sr. He was retired from the Swift Company as a receiving department supervisor. Mr. Isom was a member of Moultrie First United Methodist Church. He served in the Navy and was a member of the Colquitt County Sports Hall of Fame.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Bagwell Isom.
Survivors include his son, Clyde Isom Jr. and wife Sandra of Moultrie; two daughters, Jane Butler and husband Jim of Moultrie and Ginger Freeman and husband Clay of Valdosta; his sister, Ida Isom Coram of Moultrie; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

C.C. Phillips Jr.
DOERUN — Mr. C.C. Phillips Jr., 56, of Doerun died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, at his residence.
Graveside rites were held at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at Mt. Sinai Cemetery with the Rev. Loren Hildebrant officiating. Casketbearers were Donnie Henry, Wayne Passmore, Wendal Blackburn, Philip Reed, Randy Buckner, Don Conerly and Waymon Sharp.
Born March 18, 1947, in Macon, Bibb County, Mr. Phillips was the son of the late Nellie F. Phillips and C.C. Phillips Sr. He was an industrial sales representative and served in the Army.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia B. “Ginger” Phillips of Doerun; three children, Brian L. Phillips, Allison Payne and husband Buddy, and Lori Gregory and husband Timothy, all of Doerun; his brother, Randolph H. Phillips and wife Pam of Doerun; and four grandchildren, Ashley, Brayl and Jordan Payne and Taylor Gregory.

Evie Margaret Strickland Baker
MARIANNA, Fla. — Mrs. Evie Margaret Strickland Baker, 93, of Marianna, Fla., died Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at Marianna Convalescence Center.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley Norman officiating. Burial will follow at Murphy Cemetery.
Born Nov. 24, 1910, in Colquitt County, Mrs. Baker was the daughter of the late Carrie Lee Tillman Strickland and John Richard Strickland. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Carl Baker; a son, Richard Baker; a daughter, Merita Baker; three brothers, Howard, Clayton and L.D. Strickland; three sisters, Lola Bell, Golah Kelly and Thetis Gardner; and a grandchild, Kevin Baker.
Survivors include her son, Fred Eugene Baker of Jacksonville, Fla.; five daughters, Dorrie Cook of Jonesboro, Peggy Clark of Monroe, Pat Hall of Cordele, Cheryl Athon of Lagrange and Linda Toole of Marianna; three sisters, Jewell Bateman, Dot Gardner and Gladys Smithwick, all of Moultrie; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.

CAMILLA — Mr. Hugh Gray, 78, of Camilla died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Pinecrest Memory Gardens with the Rev. Zack Worsham and the Rev. Emory Heald officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtice Gray of Camilla; two sons, Don Gray of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and Mickey Gray and wife Candace of Camilla; and a brother, Melvin Gray of Eustis, Fla.
