9 people face alcohol-related charges

MOULTRIE — Nine people received alcohol-related charges Wednesday and Thursday nights, Moultrie police reports said.

Four under-aged people were charged Wednesday night at 16 South Main St., Moultrie police reports stated.

Driver Richard Tyler Eidson, 20, 1841 South Main St., was charged for a headlight requirement and additional charges of illegal possession of alcohol, having an open container in the driver’s side of a vehicle and DUI. He registered 0.121 grams on the Intoxilyzer 5000 machine at the Colquitt County Jail, police reports stated.

His passengers, Clifford Edward Flowers, 20, 1813 Second St. S.E., Elizabeth Ann Howard, 20, 269 Suwannee Road, and Daniel Graham Wynn, 20, 2349 Old Berlin Road, were each charged with illegal possession of alcohol and having an open container in the passenger side of a vehicle.

Every person was issued bonds of $520 for illegal possession and $195 for the open container charge. Eidson had additional bonds of $95 for the headlight requirement and $880 for DUI.

Moultrie police officers reported that they found a cup of beer, an open 50 millimeter bottle of Jagermeister liquor, a half-empty pint of Kentucky Gold liquor, a cup that had been poured on the floor next to a beer, 22 Milwaukee’s Best beers packed in an ice cooler and open containers of beer in the back seat where Howard and Wynn were sitting.

In another incident, three people were charged Thursday night in the 900 block of First Avenue Southeast, Moultrie police reports stated.

Driver Roman Garza, 41, 416 Magnolia Ave., was charged for DUI first offense, having an open container in the driver’s side of a vehicle and no driver’s license. He registered 0.205 on the Intoxylizer at the county jail.

His passengers, Jesus Roman Cruz, 28, 416 Magnolia Ave. (Spence Field), and Miranda Cruz, 36, same address, were charged with having open containers in the passenger sides of a vehicle. Both were issued bonds of $195. Garza was issued bonds of $880 for DUI, $195 for open container and $156 for no driver’s license.

In a third alcohol-related incident, Mohammed Yaqub, 42, 2011 West Blvd., was charged Wednesday night in the 700 block of Seventh Avenue Southeast for DUI first offense and leaving the scene of an accident with damage. He was issued bonds of $880 for DUI and $650 for leaving the scene of an accident.

A Moultrie police accident report stated Yoqub’s 1993 Lincoln Town car collided with an unoccupied 1976 Ford F-100 belonging to Robert Singletary, 416 Sixth Ave. S.E. at 11:30 Wednesday. The wreck occurred at the intersection of Seventh Street Southeast and Seventh Avenue Southeast.

The report stated Yoqub was westbound on Seventh Avenue Southeast when his car collided with Singletary’s, pushing it 24 feet and 2 inches. Yoqub’s car skidded a distance of 50 feet and 4 inches before impact.

Police said Yoqub and his two passengers fled the scene. Yoqub was caught by officers two blocks away. The report states Yoqub’s two passengers also fled on foot. One of Yoqub’s passengers was identified as Jerry Snipes, 37 Railroad Street, and was not injured. The other passenger was unidentified.

In a fourth alcohol-related incident, Debra Robinson, 38, 803 Fifth St. N.W., was charged Thursday afternoon for drinking an alcoholic beverage in public. She was issued a $156 bond.



Arrests

Julia Mae Blakely, 37, 514 First Avenue N.W., and Jeffery Dewight Green, 35, 518 First St. N.W., were each charged Thursday with disorderly conduct/family violence in connection to the same incident.

Sammarrio Dion Conney, 20, 815 C Sixth St. N.W., was charged Friday for making terroristic threats with a 9 mm gun to his girlfriend after she tried to break up with him.

Edward A. Lenz, 35, Clearwater, Fla., was charged Thursday with criminal trespass, burglary and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.

Laura Castro Perez, 35, 288 Lindell Ave., was charged Thursday with no driver’s license and headlight requirements. She was issued bonds of $156 for no driver’s license and $9





5 for the headlight requirement.

Gregory West Jr., 25, 401 11th St. S.E., was charged Thursday with violation of probation.

Michael Lee Bennefield, 26, 210 15th St. S.E., was charged Friday with resisting arrest and driving on the wrong side of the road. He was released on subpoena for both charges.



Other incidents

Tamiko Lunsford, 26, 1215 Old Doerun Highway N.W., reported Wednesday that someone slashed the rear tires of her 1993 Lexus ES 300 around 8:14 a.m. Tuesday. The tires were valued at $200.
