Single Ministry

Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church Single Ministry will have a meeting at 11 a.m., on Saturday, March 16. Singles are encouraged to come and participate. The Rev. J.W. Greene Jr. is the pastor.



Guest Preacher

Live Oak Missionary Baptist Church will have a guest speaker, Minister Freddie Williams, at 11 a.m., on Sunday, March 17. Live Oak youth choir will render the music. The Rev. J.W. Greene Jr. is the pastor.



MHS Class of 1971 Meeting

The MHS Class of 1971 will meet at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, March 16, at Mother Easter Church in honor of classmate, the late Bruce Warren Everett. Pallbearers and flowerbearers are needed. For more information, call Sonja Bridges at 229-985-7018.



Forestry Pageant

The Colquitt County Forestry Pageant will be held on March 23. Babies through juniors will compete in Sunday dress. Teen and Miss will compete in one-minute speech, interview and evening gown. For more information, contact Denise Hicks at 229-589-4288 or by e-mail at dmhicks123@yahoo.com.



Banquet

The Rev. Curtis Raines Sr., president-elect of the Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia Inc., will be the guest speaker at the 6 p.m. Saturday inaugural banquet honoring the Rev. J.W. Greene Jr., president of 2nd District of GMBC.

The banquet will be held in the fellowship hall of Mother Easter Baptist Church, where the Rev. Freddie Castle is pastor.

Raines lives in Macon, where he is the pastor of New Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church of Macon and Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Bolingbroke.
