Gospel Sing

Lakeside Assembly of God will have a gospel sing at 7 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 9. The Singing Echoes will be the featured group.



Pastor’s Anniversary

Holy Temple Church of God in Christ will have its pastor’s fifth anniversary celebration starting at 7:30 p.m., today, Jan. 29. Live Oak Baptist Church and their pastor, the Rev. John Green, are in charge of services. The celebration will close-out at 3 p.m., on Sunday, Feb. 3, with Elder King of St. James Holiness Church in charge of services. It will be a week-long celebration with services at 7:30 p.m. nightly, with guest churches in charge. Supt. P.E. Hayes is the pastor and the honoree. Dinner will be served on Sunday.



NAACP meeting

The NAACP will meet at 7 p.m., on Monday, Feb. 4, at the Ryce Center. For more information, contact Bernice Randell at 229-769-5448.



NAMI meeting

NAMI will be  on Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 6 to 7 p.m., at First United Methodist Church Social Hall, 409 1st Street S.E. The program, “Who We Are. What to Expect,” will be presented by the accountability court team and will be about the new mental health/drug court. Light refreshments will be served. Connections Support Group and Family Support Group begin at 7 p.m.
