The Colquitt County wrestling team won three of its five matches in the Lee County Duals last Saturday in Leesburg to take a fourth-place finish.
The Packersa will head to Cairo today to meet the Syrupmakers.
Colquitt dropped its opener 51-27 to Hardaway, which finished as the tournament’s runner-up.
Jorge Martinez at 132, Javier Martinez at 195, Miguel Carranza at 113 and Jordan Rosales at 120 won by pins and Anderson Glenn took a 3-1 decision at 138 against the Hawks.
The Packers then defeated Americus-Sumter County 54-12.
In addition to a number of forfeits, the Packers got pins from Glenn at 138, Hart Sumner at 152 and and Jacob Comer at 160.
The Packers won next over the Lee County B-team.
Glenn took a 9-2 decision at 145; Sumner got a pin at 152; Comer won by pin at 160; Javier Martinez got a pin at 220; Rosales won by pin at 120; Deandre McMillian won by pin at 126; and Jorge Martinez won by pin at 138.
In a 48-12 victory over Dougherty, the Packers got a pin by Javier Martinez at 220 plus a number of forfeits.
Colquitt lost its final match, falling to Lee County, which took third in its own tournament.
Javier Martinez won by 13-5 major decision at 195; Carranza won by pin at 113; and Glenn won an 8-5 decision at 138.
“Americus and Dougherty had very few wrestlers and there were a lot of forfeits,” Packers coach Travis Torbert said. “We also got to wrestle some of our backups — Alex Henry, Tyson McCray, Emirin Barrera and Hunter Dauphin — in extra matches and they did well and got good experience.”

All the teams in the tournament were 10U teams except the Legends, who were the only 9U team. Quality Employment needed a win or a tie in its game against Southwest Georgia Insurance on Tuesday to claim the Midget League championship.
Quality won the title when the game ended in a 5-5 tie.
