Wrestlers 18th at Wildcat Invitational

MOULTRIE — The Colquitt County High wrestling team finished 18th in the Wildcat Invitational held last Friday and Saturday at Valdosta High School.

The team from Oviedo, Fla., was first, followed by Valdsota, Tift County, Heritage and Lowndes.

Freshman Bryce Giddens, wrestling at 285, had the Packers best finish, placing fourth with a 4-2 record. All four of his victories were by pins.

Jose Zunun, at 103, went 3-2 with three pins.

Ronnie Caldwin, wrestling at 135, was 2-2 with one pin.

Marquavious Clark, at 152, and Taylor Huite, at 171, each were 1-2 with a pin.

At 189, Dillon Underwood was 1-1 with a pin.

The Packers will be back in action at 5 p.m. today at the Pineland gymnasium to take on Westover, Lee County and Bainbridge.
