MOULTRIE — The Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Department’s youth basketball leagues will begin play today at the Tommy Meredith Gymnasium.
The 12-and-under boys will open at 8 tonight with the Packers meeting the Hawks.
The league has three teams.
Lameir Slaughter’s Hawks include Chason Fannin, Noah Moore, Andrew Walker, Daniel Lewis, Marcus Lewis Jr., Jordan Rosales, Savonta Slaughter, Demetrius Walker and Donta Wilson.
Playing for the Charles Scott-coached Magic are Travaraes Moore, Malakah McCastle, Tashon McGhee, Jacob Plymel, Cedric Roberts, Landon Scott, Drew Davis, Marquan Greene and Justin Wilkerson.
The Packers, coached by Terry Grant, include Darian Edwards, Benjamin Richter, Domonique Hall, John Hall, Aikaari Ryce, Michael Anderson, Jamius Jordan, Jamoree Pace and Marviq Richardson.

Roscoe Singletary is coaching the Celtics. His players are Rohan Bishop, Reese Jenkins, Mackenzie Lee, Camari Louis, Samari Louis, Wesley Mason, Cameron Singletary and Jamarius Walker.
Playing for the Hawks, who are coached by Jeffrey Davis, are Nate Creech, Ejarion Davis, Jerick Davis, Mac English, Lenorris Severson, Jaheim Ward, JeDacus Ward and Jaquan Willis.
Bobby Merritt’s Lakers include Tradarius King, Jake Merritt, Travion Page, Lee Pittman, Xavier Powell, Nyquann Washington and Ossie Williams.
Ted Schwarz is coaching the Thunder. His players are Thomas Barry, Tyler Fannin, Tory Ponder, Benard Snelling, Cody Tillman, Demontae Williams and Isiac Wilson.
The girls league opened with three half-hour games on Monday.
The Rays will meet the Thunder will play resumes at 5:30 p.m. today.
Johnny Lovett is coaching the Rays. His players are Angelica Sangster, Savannah Tillman, Kiarra Lovett, Morgan Baker and Teriyah Clark.
The Thunder, coached by Ted Schwarz, includes Emily Dozier, Akia Sutton, Diamond Hall, Katlyn Williams and Kelsey Mock.
James Stancil III is coaching the Heat. His players are Jami Kling, Abriana Wise, Shydersia Seay, Amber Kling, Monteanna Edwards, Martasha Edwards and Da’Nayshia Sanders.
