MOULTRIE — Fresh off a second-place finish in last weekend’s Viking Invitational, the Colquitt County middle school wrestling team will open the home part of its schedule today at 4 p.m., playing host to Bainbridge and Hahira at the Pineland gymnasium.
The middle school Packers opened their season last week by defeating Lowndes and Cook at Lowndes.
In the 14-team tournament, Lowndes took first place, with Colquitt County right behind.
In the tournament, Travis Register, at 170; John Gray, at 185; and Dalton Dillon, at 275, took first-place finishes.
Anderson Glenn was second at 90 pounds and Johnny Ward was third at 98 pounds.
The 30-member team will be off next week before traveling to Bainbridge for a meet on Thusday, Dec. 4.

Trailing 4-0 when weather stopped its game against M&M Diesel on Tuesday and down 5-0 after three innings on Thursday, Harrell Auto Electric rallied to score nine runs in the final three innings to win 9-6 and claim the Moultrie-Colquitt County Parks and Recreation Department’s Mite League girls softball championship.
