Bull Durham Insurance wins

MOULTRIE — Bull Durham Insurance bounced back from a two-game losing streak with a hard-fought, 12-9 victory over Rocky’s in Mite girls action on Monday at the Jim Buck Goff Recreation Complex.

Diana Durham scored three runs, including the game-winner. Hayli Spradley homered twice and Amber Kling and Lora Alford scored two runs each for the victors.

Chazmin Singletary, Rebekah Ward and Alvonese Sanders led the Rocky’s attack with two runs each.

Triangle Furniture continued its roll in the other Mite game with an 11-3 victory over Hunnicutt Farms.

The game started as a defensive struggle before Triangle Furniture erupted for 10 runs in their final two at bats to overcome a 3-1 deficit.

Kerri Owens hit a home run and scored two runs to lead the charge. Dakota Baker hit a double and scored twice. Christy Crosby tripled home two runs and then scored.

Madison Robinson and Christin Hunnicutt each went 2-for-2 and scored a run for Hunnicutt Farms.

In Major girls play, Shameka Reynolds, Lunden Connell, Lori Griner and Jordan Taylor scored two runs each to help Morris Orthodontics to a 9-4 victory over Beason’s Equipment.

Caitlin Carr and Anna Laura Eascon scored two runs each for Beason’s.

In the second game, Mikki Noble opened the first inning with a leadoff score before Morris Orthodontics scored two runs in the bottom of the last inning for a 2-1 win.

Lori Griner tripled and scored and Jordan Taylor followed with the winning run.
